I quoted this from BSB but Kravs can't play the 9 games at all, I thought it was just for expansion purposes:

First, as per Article 9.1 (d) of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Kravtsov will burn a year of his entry-level contract if he signs for the 2018-2019 season. Because he turns 20 years old on December 23rd of 2019, he is not eligible for a contract slide. In effect, Kravtsov would become a restricted free agent in 2021. Should he sign a contract that begins in the summer instead, then his RFA status would get pushed back to 2022. The Rangers will certainly be a cap-conscious team once again by 2021, and so that extra year of a sub-$1 million cap hit would sure be helpful.

I also have a Dec bday. It did suck being the youngest and smallest every year, but I graduated a year earlier than alot of my social group. I wasn't horrible at school or really got bullied much, but the sooner I got done school the better. I think I'd still take work or school to this day.

Just spitballin, but maybe package him and the pick they get for 2 or 3. Georgy looks like he’s a thing by now and we have the lovable Lindbom

Hank becomes a free agent after the 2020-21 season, which is when the expansion draft is, as I wrote in the blog. Therefore, he would not need to be protected.

It would be a PTO, not ATO. But it won't count towards his ELC years. They can opt to have the ELC start July 1st in that case
