He's yours for the low low price of 6th round pick.

Mike Augello: Would move for McQuaid be a mistake?? Leafs vs. Blues - mikeinbuffalo
McQuaid has been a beast for the Bruins vs. the Leafs (and others) in the postseason - on the 3rd pairing this seems like a great fit...unless something gives with the Zaitsev contract getting moved we should brace ourselves this is the kind of deal the Leafs will make to bolster the D this year. Gudas, Pesce, Hamilton, Montour, et al are pipe dreams with the cap situation as it is and potential bonus overages for next year. |

So, what you're saying is; Zaitsev for Pesce? |

let's be honest, we could use the defensive depth |

I just don't want to see him on the Leafs and have to play him Round 1 and have him help the Leafs beat the Bruins... |

Depending on the cost, it wouldn't hurt to have the added depth - PatC80
Leafs have three 7th rnd pick in 2020. I'd part with on of those and a 6th in 2021.
I thought I read something like 4th and 7th for McQuaid would get it done. |

I see Peter Holland got traded today to the Hawks for a Raddysh. |

I always liked McQuaid on Boston and love him on the Rangers. He’s exactly the type of guy I’d be going after for a playoff run. Plays well in his own end, stands up for his teammate and plays a heavy game, exactly what you want in the playoffs. |

I don't think you will. The Bruins are in the middle of their annual 15 game winning streak, and we might fall to a wildcard spot soon. |

Isn't that what the Rangers gave up to get him? |

I don't know if McQuaid is the answer.
However I do know if Marchand gets away with licking somebody again like he did with Komarov and nobody takes his head off, we will lose the series to Boston, again.
Face it, we are soft as butter. |
