Honest observation regarding team defense. Blues playing just as well as Flyers. Binnington is NOT as good or talented as Hart but has at least two or three shutouts. We need to tighten up if we are going to be serious contenders down the road. Is it Chief's system or a more talented and veteran d Corp?

Is Morin injured again? Didn't play again tonight and Huffman was evasive when asked about him. Anyone hear anything?

He had cramping/dehydration issues in his first game back and some normal soreness in the knee. Huff said he'll be on the trip and the hope is to get him in the next two games in Charlotte. With all the time he missed -- not just this season with the ACL recovery but also 80 percent of last season -- they are simply being cautious in how he's brought back along.

Tonight was fun, especially getting the Myers experience. They made him go skate around in warm ups alone, for awhile. He was taking a regular shift. Even took a number of defensive zone starts. It was like he was in the league all the time. He was really.

Just finished watching the game. That's a game they don't win earlier this year or most likely with anyone else in net tonight. Good to see Myers get in.

2 points. Won. Hart played great. Good defense from many including Provy, Coots, and Giroux. Definitely didn’t have the best skating legs this game; defense and goaltending compensated. Good things will happen for you if you play around and in front of the other teams net. Looking at you, Lindblom, great night! Provy, just keep shooting!

Simmonds defending teammates is nothing new. Last few gm's have neglected team toughness

Sanheim has been awful lately in his own zone. Maybe he should sit for Myers now ?

No.

If anything I think Gostisbehere/MacDonald pairing has been the scariest. I wonder if Gudas could be on the move at the deadline. Value super high. Probably playing some of his best hockey this year. Right handed shot.

Or could they retain some money on a guy like MacDonald. One year left but could help a playoff team. Pretty good shot blocker.

Not a fan of the 7 dman lineup so something might have to give soon.

most streaks the teams win games at the end of them that they shouldnt, lets hope the Flyers can play better in front of hart, the last 4 periods were not really good.

Don't dare to hope

I would sit Mac. I think Sanheim might need to come down in the line up. Mac had a play where he blew a tire or something and gave up a scoring chance. It looked bad.

I know Ghost is struggling but he shouldn't be playing 2 mins of Even strength time less than MacDonald, and Hagg too

I really hope Fletcher doesn't make a foolish move

This week will tell the tale. If they aren’t within 5 points of a playoff spot then they need to sell. I’m not interested in trading gudas. He’s an important piece of the defense for next year. Amac sure and would retain money to get better value. Although I’m not just dumping him. He would be a good 7d next year

Hagg had a lot of issues with Detroit’s speed.

Less than 6 weeks ago, before the 1/10 game against Dallas, the Flyers were in last place in the NHL and 16 points out of a playoff spot. Since then, they have won 13 of their last 16 games, with a record of 13-2-1. They are now 6 points out of a playoff spot, with 23 games left to play in the season. Almost every game from here on out is against an Eastern Conference playoff team. They have a really tough road ahead of them but it's still a possibility!

Anyone know when Myers had his one shift with Hägg? I missed it somehow. Myers might be good with Provy eventually, but I think it would be too much too soon. I wanted to see him with Hägg.

Take your optimistic viewpoint and go some place else!!!

Agreed though. If you would have told me in November that this team was going to be worth watching in late Feb I would have been stunned.

What I hope for the rest of the season:

1. No major injuries.. This is my biggest concern over the remaining games with the anticipation of next season.
2. Continue to get meaningful experience for Hart, OL, Patrick, Sanheim, TK, Hagg and any other young player I am missing.
3. Provy keeps looking more and more like himself while Ghost turns any element of his game around.
4. A standing ovation in the anticipation of Simmonds last game. People rag on him but he is IMO the closest the modern game will ever see to a classic Flyer. That warrants our appreciation.
