I totally agree with this thought but am worried we will see Gordo ride Hart like Hakstol did with Mason a few seasons ago cause they need the points

Gordo has never given him a b2b yet and sheltered him from the best teams at first. This is the one case where we need a win and McKenna is a fringe Nhl goaltender.

Not worried about Hart as much as I am the overall team defense in front of him. The team looked sloppy and lacking attention to detail ... the way they were under Hakstol.

Sens say they will be trading duchene. Stone still in talks. Dzingel not close.

So.. who do we want and for what ?

Creates a massive hole at rw especially if we trade simmer also. Would prefer if we moved Jake for it to be for stone. Rather do picks prospects for duchene.

You don't get those type of players for a potential rental. Which is what duchene is. First rounder player and prospect sure. But nobody will give them a good young top 9 player a top 15 pick and an A prospect.

why in the world would you think Duchene would cost this much as a rental? A 1st and O'Brien would probably get it done.

Gone done good. Would even float our first at this point if we recoup one in a simmer deal.

Yeah I'm not understanding his logic. We just traded for a brand new vet back up to pair with him. What makes anyone think hes starting the next 25 ?
