A "date" with the Panthers this season is usually a cure for all slumps. Any and Everybody could score tonight.
Hope Smitty brought an extra chest protector on the trip, Panthers are probably gonna wear his out.
Although the Panthers are due to play a good game, as the Jekyll and Hyde theme continues. They might score 6 tonight, only problem being that they'll probably give up 7.
Go Panthers |

He's not really wrong. There's only one serious contender for the Cup right now. |

You're right. Why even bother doing playoffs at all. President's trophy wins every year...

Tampa always chokes in the playoffs Hunkulese, it doesn't matter if you win all games in the regular season its about which team will get on a hot streak. I bet you are the one that wrote that article for CBC since you are an bumhole.

Wonder if Nick Ritchie is available in Anaheim with the emergence of the younger cheaper Max Jones? |

Playoffs give us 2+ months of pretty good hockey so there's that.
There hasn't been a team this dominant in a long time. It's all on Tampa not to screw it up now. They're a team that shouldn't be allowed with a salary cap. They're dominant in all aspects of the game. Best group of forwards, best group of defence, elite goalie, PP working almost 30% of the time with an 84% pk.
Calgary could very well be the 2nd best team in the NHL, but the difference between Tampa and Calgary is similar to the distance between Calgary and Edmonton. |

Janko straight up for Ritchie?
Contracts are virtually the same, points are almost even last 2 seasons.
Ryan can handle 3rd line duty and Dube or Quine could move up.
Long term I like Dube over Janko myslef. |

Are you having a conversation with yourself? There's no impetus for the Ducks to trade Ritchie. He's young, cheap, two more years on his contract, and will still be an RFA when that's done. You'd need to offer something ridiculous that they couldn't possibly say no to to make that trade happen.
Jankowski is a year older and needs a raise a year sooner. |

Pretty sure a couple blogs ago you were pumping Edmontons tires. Guess it's what ever suits your argument.
But I do agree Tampa is the favourite. |

The impetus would be Anaheims top 2 centers Getzlaf and Kessler will be 34 and 35 years old next year, their sitting 6 points out of the league basement and they have big physical wingers Max Jones and Max Comtois in their pipeline.
Not to mention Jones and Comtois combined will make the same $ as Ritchie next year.

If I recall correctly everyone was saying the same of Nashville last year. Deep forward group, solid defence corps, and two more than capable netminders (1 vezina-calibre). Playoffs are a different breed. It's more about who wants it more rather than pure skill alone. |

I've said if Edmonton gets Stone and makes the playoffs, they'd be dangerous, and they would be. I also said they were really only a couple tweaks away from being a good team. So how is that relevant?
I know everything has to be black or white for you to understand, but there really are a whole bunch of different colours. |

Tampa is a much better team than Nashville was. Tampa has all the tools Nashville had plus elite offensive forwards, and their special teams are significantly better.
Sure, it's sports. Any team can win any night. But if Tampa plays to their potential, no one can touch them.

So what your saying is that he should be more humble and listen to other people´s opinions, rather then just calling other people stupid because they do not have the same opinion as him.
Fun times. |
