Looking forward to seeing Morin with Phantoms. Hope he settles after first few shifts and dominates there!

I could be ok with that. I'm guessing we would be taking Lucic with Edmonton retaining half. It seems fair and probably best for Hart... Someone he already knows and likes and can be a split duty goalie.

If Lucic is involved there had better be some picks coming back as well

there isn t enough compensation to take that Lucic contract. His career is trending toward the end of Vinny L with more years and a higher cap hit.

It makes sense for the future. I would assume you re sign Talbot at a lower cap hit moving forward if he really is going to be Hart's back up moving forward.

But I wouldn't want to just do a one for one. If I am helping Edmonton out getting under that cap I want something else included. Could you get Tyler Benson then too?

All it takes is two teams bidding. I still feel it will be something like a 1st and prospect.

Example being Simmonds to Boston for 1st and Ryan Donato.

I really hope Frost's game translates well to the NHL. The future looks bright fellow Flyers fans. Hang tight.

I'm starting to get really excited for Morin and Myers. As much as I don't want another losing streak, I do hope after the deadline they are willing to give the kids a shot.

As a matter of fact I am also really excited about Morgan Frost too. I would really like to see him get 9 games at the end of the season.

Scouts are weird, it's like they don't close their eyes and pretend there is an alternate universe where dozens of things are changed which affects his true value or actual performance in reality. I just don't understand them.

Wonder if Simmonds producing points like a 4th liner at 5on5 is noticeable to pro scouts?

If only they would just look at goals/60 and pretend assists weren't points too, the Flyers could get a much better return.

Huh I wonder why! Could it be that they're seeing the same things all of us (minus a few posters) are seeing??

I mean maybe, Pastrnak out and they were already looking to add I'm sure. They lose a couple games in a row before the deadline they could get desperate. Who knows.

If Edmonton takes half, that is 3 million per year. Basically what we were paying Dale Weise. I'm ok with having Lucic on a 3rd line. Kind of reminds me of having Aaron Asham with Giroux and JVR their first year. If I can get a line of Lucic-Frost-and someone else young like Rubstov or someone like that I would be fine with that. Otherwise he can be sent to the minors and it only costs us 2 million.

Small price to pay so they don't feel like they have to overpay for Quick, Howard, or Crawford.

Simmonds has just been OK....not surprised that scouts see it that way. I still think he will get a decent prospect or a late first....or a couple of 2nds...

It would be a great story if he can actually become a decent player in the NHL...has the tools...some luck would help.

I get it, Simmonds was never a great 5v5 player, what he brings to a playoff team is grit, strength, ice cop, fighter, and a perfect fit for any pp, these are attributes that are in desperate need during the playoffs, just all around toughness

Guys like stone and panarin do not possess, playoffs are a totally different game and they actually check unlike regular season, can’t remember when a flyer last landed a good clean check on somebody

a couple big games were he scores or fights might help. The guy is also playing for his next contract.
