it looked like STL was on a power play the whole games

is this the worst defense/goalie combo we've ever had? #byram

Butcher and Severson are awful...

Butcher loses the puck on every wall.... too small and not nimble enough to elude.

Severson looks like he does not try.

---------
Greene blocks shots and w would be lost without him but he is in major decline.

Santini , MUeller and Yako..all too young and need to learn .

that leaves Vats ....... thats it ....

We have Ty smith , Vats
Greene another season ... Severson must get better or try harder.

Yako looks good but needs to play D ..and we need someone to clear the front of the net... not Grybea , not Santini .

This was as bad of a performance as I can remember. Tough to watch.

I don't much care for Kinkaid, but I wouldn't wish the treatment he got from the team last night upon my worst enemies. I felt bad for him.

I think we've seen all we need to from Mueller. I'm not sure I've ever seen a d-man who is as uncomfortable with the puck as he is. It's unbelievable. It still burns me that Shero, or someone he really trusts, thought he was worth losing a 2nd rounder for. To this point I'd almost consider that a fireable offense.

Todd, what would you think of the following proposal:
CAL trades Kylington, Czarnik, Mangiapane to NJ for Blake Coleman and Myles Wood?

The organization (Ray/Ownership) built this type of team.

Knowing Cory was coming off surgery and had been struggling, it was just stupid to rely on Kinkaid and Lack to be your goaltending tandem. Pulling a quality veteran goaltender isn't exactly a difficult offseason move. Even if believe KK is a quality backup he's been consistently inconsistent for three years now. How Shero decided we needed Eddie Lack is just shocking. Would have been better off keeping Appleby in the system.

Also, who knew when we signed David Schlemko he's arguably be the best free agent defender we brought in here. Let that sink in. Quincey, Lovejoy, Moore, Gryba.... What a parade of garbage. And we traded for Vats (good), Prout and Mueller. We kicked out Scott Stevens for Alain Nasreddine.

I'm not even going to bother with the offense. Can you imagine if this team hadn't made the trade of the decade in Larsson for Hall and won the lottery? What a train wreck.

Everyone was so glad to get rid of Lou, but I keep looking at the Islanders up in the standings and wonder what the (frank) is going on with this franchise.

Todd said it best. What a mess.

They were smart enough to fire their coach. I'm just glad we aren't Ottawa.

At a loss for words as to how this once winning franchise has become such a perennial doormat.

I guess that hall trade has some second guessing after all. Hall style of play lacks any defence ability and he is always hurt. Larrson is exactly what jersey needs on the blueline.

Well if you hadnt traded larrson for that band aid hall you would have better defence. So much for trade of the decade lol.No surprise jersey defence fell apart after the larrson trade.

Yet the Oilers defense is still garbage and you can't score any goals. Living in bizarro world where this trade worked out for the Oil must be weird.

It's a down year, hall has been hurt all year and Schneider's play fell off the face of the earth. Last year was an overachievement and everyone knew it. This team is going to get another high draft pic which is exactly what it needs, I'd rather get a top 3 pick then get a first round knockout of the playoffs anyways.
The oilers are in a much much worse state than this team and they have McDavid lol at least the devs are in a great spot salary cap wise.

I'm going to assume his/her comment was sarcastic. I do that trade, just like the Schneider one, without hesitation.

Turns out a team full of skaters isn't a zone pressure team... who knew.

Shero's dynamic seems to be lost on Hynes. The team had to play end to end hockey: it didn't.
