The fact that they cant finish isnt just the story of this year, its been the ongoing story with this team for a long time. Theyve long lacked a finisher since the gaborik days.

Will be interesting to see how Fenton proceeds. With the production from Kunin and JEE, the youth seems to be showing a bright future. Does he move some of the older veterans and build around the youth or do something different? As others have said, it does not appear the team as it stands can make a deep playoff run. Just making the playoffs is no longer acceptable. The bar is now higher.

Couldn't help myself so I went into the twitter feed of Russo after last nights apetite dujour and hoo boy......lot of Wild fans that think blowing the roster up is the wrong idea.

It may be clear to those of us that look at the Chi and Pits of the league as models of success, but there are a lot of knuckle-draggers that will scream bloody murder if we trade anyone significant.

Unbelievable. The Wild just keep finding more and more ways to lose games. The game was placed on a tee for the Wild to just bury Philly...and what happens, they lose.

The problem with the Wild making the decision to be a seller at the trade deadline is that the rest of the league is seeing this as well. Which again means Fenton is going to receive nothing but low-ball offers in trades. If Fenton wants a spark, he needs to move out those (Granlund, Zucker, etc) that seem to still be comfortable. Or is it that these players actually want OUT of Minnesota? If that's the thought, then there are even bigger issues with this team.

Depending on Rask's injury...and Hendricks...Fenton just needs to unload a ton of players from this current roster. Explain to BB that this team is going full rebuild and ask if he wants to stay for it. I think BB has earned that right. Time to bring up a couple of guys from Iowa to show the younger guys in Iowa that if you work hard, you will get called up. I'm talking about Cal O'Reilly and Gerald Mayhew. This is gonna get worse before it gets better, so might as well start it now.
