Ok so my question to anyone who wants to chime in is : what player/players would best fit New York Islanders team right now moving forward 🤔

I've always been a defensive minded guy. I'd love for them to add a legit duel threat top pairing d-man. I think having a stud d-man would go far in the playoffs. However, our defense is looking phenomenal with Trotzs' system. The development and emergence or Toews and Pulock have been awesome.

The Isles are towards the back end of the league when it comes to scoring. They could either use center depth or a legit scoring winger like Panarin or Stone. Stone would honestly be perfect, considering he's very good 2 way player. Would fit our system perfectly.

Duchene is obviously the other target. I think most of us are worried about letting go of legit prospects and picks for only rentals. But I think it's worth it, regardless if they stay or not, depending on the price obviously.

Winger is probably the best way to go. But getting center depth and moving Nelson to the wing would be awesome. Im curious if Eric Staal would be a good move.

Appreciate this. All Isles fans do. We've honestly been through hell and back the past 25 years. We may get a bit over excited that our team is 1st in the Metro...but with all the shlt we've been through, it's nice to see our patience is finally being rewarded for once.
