Penguins: Win Stanley Cup

Ryan Wilson: "Let me tell you something about Jack Johnson......"

- LeafsPain54

I think the Johnson case is the most justifiable dead horse Ryan Wilson has ever beat because there's a difference between other RW whipping boys such as Sutter, Ryan Reaves, Craig Adams, etc... and Johnson. Those other guys were just not adding anything and hypothetically replacing them with more talented players might have lead to more wins. In Johnson's case its not hypothetical. He's directly contributing and causing goals against. Its not hypothetical with Johnson. He's tangibly directly leading to losses, which couldn't have been said about any of our past plugs besides probably Scuderi. The data out on his goal differentials and the differentials of other Penguins with him on vs him off the ice is stark and can't be ignored.

It can’t be ignored but it is being ignored which is mind boggling.

I actually think she's pretty smart in certain ways. Her policies are idiotic, un-nuanced, and not economically sound, but she has pretty high political savvy and has adopted the Trump rhetorical/social media playbook to here own devises perfectly, and that's what makes her dangerous. People opposed to her need to stop treating her as a circus side show and mocking her, which only plays into her hand, and start treating her like a valid political threat or else she's gonna pull a Trump and manipulate herself into a seat of significant power while everyone else is busy cracking jokes and laughing at her.

Everyone can see Johnson is bad. But every article Wilson writes has him whining about JJ. It could be an article talking about Mario's top 10 goals and he'd still complain about Johnson. I just think it's hilarious.

Its RWs blog though and his point is valid each and every time.

JJ should not have received anything more than a PTO this summer.

Haha I don’t get why people wouldn’t just not read the blog. At this point I skip the vast majority of Wilson’s blogs and go straight to the comment section and I’m not worse for ware.

Totally unrelated to anything but can one of you Canucks tell me what you think of the show Letterkenny? Been thinking of picking it up on Hulu.

Well RW is also a huge Penguins fan, so perhaps a bit of emotion attached to what he's writing and he's not wrong about JJ. Never has been.

This might be one of the worst lineups Sullivan has put out. This is Dan Bylsma terrority ugly.

The 1st line is really the only line that is good. Malkin & Kessel makes sense. You have two struggling guys that have played together and worked out before. Putting them together and hoping they would out is okay with me.

Put Hornqvist on the 3rd line, keep Pearson there and let Bjugstad at center. I dont like Simon, but he is a smart responsible guy. Put him with Malkin & Kessel at LW and see what happens.

Jake-Crosby-Rust
Simon-Malkin-Kessel
Pearson-Bjudstad-Hornqvist
Wilson-McCann-Blueger

The defense is going to struggle as long as Johnson is in there. He should be the guy to come out when Schultz is back, but like Ryan has said, he wont be. Putting him on the second pairing is flat out insane. No idea why Sullivan is doing this, he is way smarter than that.

What else does he need to be before you like him?
