Yeah, Habs might have growing pains in the playoffs too, lots of changes since the last time they were in. Bruins have been there and know what it takes, particularly against the Leafs.

Last time it was close though, the hope is that Leafs can get over the hump if they meet again.

Price can steal a series. At least old Price could. The Leafs are presently the better team, but the Habs are playing well. I'd still rather play the Habs. I'd hope that Tampa draws Boston, and they just beat the poop out of each other over 7 games. Then when we play Tampa, they're softened up so much that a fierce Gardiner stick-check will feel like a solid board slam.

Ryan O'Reilly is good at faceoffs.

I think whoever's gets Boston is in for a tough series but I think both you and Tampa would win that series. The less physical habs would be my choice but I dont see enough to know how you matchup against each of them

Also Scabs, and this one's for you, apparently he has to waive his NTC for the deal to happen so that means the Habs were on his 10 team no trade list

I'm guessing it was every team in Canada?

Some guys hate winter. Yet play hockey.

Hate to say it, but Pettersson probably will be.

He's got skill like crazy.

I was watching him do up his skates on HNIC on Saturday. His legs are TINY. Like . . . TV commercial starving child tiny.

He's listed as 6'2, 176, but man. He's thin.

That being said, I used to live on Queen's Quay for a few years, and used to see various Leaf players in and around the area. One day when I was walking, I saw Antropov coming out of the Beer Store. He was very tall, but he was ungodly thin. He filled out pretty well later, but when he was 19, he was all bones.

Reports say the trade is Calgary's 4th rounder for Nate Thompson and Arizona's 5th rounder.

AND Nate has to waive.

Talk about being worth much.

Out of curiosity who do you guys like in a first round match up the habs or Bruins? Gotta be the habs right? Bruins are big and strong and have more high end players not to mention Bergeron as the best defensive forward out there. Then again your depth should allow you to overcome that as well
- Upstate_isles

Honestly, both bruins and habs bore me.
But id prefer to beat the bruins and the habs miss out on the playoffs.
I do not want to see price in the playoffs

Why was he on the radio? Was he a post game caller or something? What was he saying?

I have no idea.

Hell, despite the cost being ridiculously low, I'm not sure why we're grabbing him either.

The answer is simple:

Leafs-Habs.

Don't bother thinking about matchups and blah blah gblah - on an emotional level, Leafs-Habs would be franking insane. Montreal would be excited, but Toronto would go thermonuclear.

P.S. gblah was a typo, but I've decided to leave it up, because I think it looks awesome.

I would not tamper with your lineup as it is... Working well I mean.. But I hope he tinkers away.

Well to be fair, our 4th line sucked.... they haven't scored a goal in over a month.

I guess adding him and Weise can't be much worse.

I do like bringing back Weise at least.

To be honest, I didn't know he was away. I don't follow the Habs at all.

We traded him and Fleischmann 3 years ago for Danault and a 2nd (Who turned into Romanov)

Probably Bergevin's best trade.

Still, Weise is a good bottom 6 player. Always plays well in the playoffs too.
