2 Penguin scouts at the Chicago - Vancouver game. So I wouldn't be surprised if they were looking at Keith or a Defenseman.

I'd guess Anisimov, Saad or (gasp) Sutter.

Mackey said today he thinks there's a good chance Schultz returns tomorrow. Also said Murray may return tomorrow too.

Holy smokes I just checked Seabrooks contract. I'd take Gudbranson if JJ went the other way.

If anything id take Keith over Seabrook, holy hell with that contract. Toews and Seabrook really crush that team.

That's a tough matchup for a dman who's missed so much time to come back into. Right into the fire haha.

Whelp... Just read DK's site saying probably not tomorrow for Schultz. Sounds like Murray is a go.

Yeah, it's very soon anyways, that's a major positive. I was envisioning him getting chewed up tomorrow night. In saying that, with the way Philly is cooking recently, it might not be much lighter of a matchup.

Chicago wouldn’t do it.

I think he has some serious long term potential. I don't think he is quite ready for the 2c role... Though to be fair, Cullen wasn't up for it either.
- MacPatty

After his start and being thrown into that spot he would at least be flying and pumped full of adrenaline. It would only be until Malkin comes back.

When you go from page one and every comment is JJ. JJ. JJ. Go straight to page 8 and it’s the same. Is he good? No. Does replacing him with a competent bottom pairing d man make the difference in a win or a loss? No.

It can. If we make the playoffs that's what I'm more worried about. If he's gonna get out of position id rather him try and score doing so. In the playoffs 23gp 21p. If he can at least step up in the offensive part during the playoffs he may end up a wash.

When you’re leading your team at an absurd rate at goals against at 5v5 whole hardly generating any offensive pulse, replacing him with a competent d man can make a difference between winning and losing in some games.

Not s big enough impact to blame a subpar season on the signing of Him or his play. Move on people.

Malkins play this year gets mentioned 1/25th the time of Johnson’s. Which has a bigger impact on the team? I like Malkin these past few years too.

Malkin playing at his worst is 4x better than JJ at his best. It was very evident with Malkin out how bad the second line is.

Seabrook’s contract may be in the top five of worst contracts in the NHL.
