Lots of Preds fans ripped Poile yesterday for re-acquiring McLeod. But he's a big "glue" guy in the room, and the team loves him. He gives you some grit and muscle, and can even score the occasional goal. Boyle might end up being a nice fit on the 3rd or 4th line - and as a big tree on the PP in front of the net.
The Preds still need to add a top-6 winger in my opinion. I'm hearing lots of noise on the Preds and Panarin. That would be fine by me, but Stone would be a great add too. Panarin would be a pure rental IMO, but Stone might could be re-signed for a longer term.

I'd love to be wrong, but Stone isn't happening. Too many teams want him, and too many other teams have more to offer in return than the Preds do. All Ottawa has to do is sit back and watch while all the other GMs crawl all over each other, waiting for which ever team is willing to offer up their first born child to get him. Even if Poile did manage to land him, resigning him would be almost impossible without moving Turris, Subban, or Ellis especially after Josi gets his payday. Their would be a similar situation with Panarin as well... The Boyle trade might be the biggest move David makes before the deadline. Again, I hope I'm wrong, I don't think Poile is quite desperate enough to sell the farm for a pure rental.
