The Duchene move to the Preds doesn't make much sense to me with Turris headed back from IR, unless a move has the Preds sending a center back to Ottawa. I know he can play on the wing, but I think the Preds would rather have Stone on the wing, than Duchene. They have the cap room to bring both Duchene & Stone over, but they'd have to send a boatload of players & picks back to get that done.

however, Preds, I could see. It would make them crazy strong down the middle.
Pens... No way. They don't have the assets to give up to get Duchene in the prospect pool, they aren't giving up any top end guys and Ottawa doesn't need anymore bottom end plugs. |

If true I think the offers start with a 2019 & 2020 1st and a 2019 2nd given his age, cap/term etc. Only comparables I can think of are the Larsson and Hamonic deals.
At 25 with 3 more years of term he would definately cost more than Muzzin. |
