Trade JEE, he sucks ass. He is starting to feel like another James Sheppard. Over rated high draft pick that will hang on for to long, and get way more ice time then he deserves.

Good thing they drafted him as the "safe" pick over Boeser. Why on earth would the wild take a chance on a right shot goal scorer?

Mild, I think we can complain about previous draft picks (even the 1st Rd from the last draft) as it was run by someone other than Fenton. Both I think we should EXPECT that moving forward, the Wild's drafts should be done better. In other words, we still have to give Fenton a chance (can't put JEE on him) to see what he can make this team into. Been kinda hamstrung because CF sent all those draft picks away.

As for JEE, I firmly believe he still has a future on the Wild, and will not be traded. At his price, and the ability to be an effective 4th line C, Fenton is purposely keeping him in Iowa, maybe just so other teams think he is de-valued. The Wild, year after year, go and spend from $1-$2 mil on a player at the end of his career to play 4th line C. Why not keep JEE around, as speed has become an important factor to the game now.

I dont disagree with you. I think Fenton will have better success drafting than Fletcher. The thing that bugged me about this years draft was you could see Fletcher and Flahrs finger prints all over the first round pick. "Safe" player who should develop into and NHL defenseman. Fenton even said before the draft he was relying on the current staff to help him get through the draft. It was the picks after round 1 where i think Fenton stepped in. As they drafted guys with high skill levels and potential, rather than safe players.

I wont judge Fenton until hes had a full year or 2 at the helm, i just hope he can make some moves that end up paying off in our favor.

Wel, the door has been opened for Fenton now that Matthews has been extended. Send the Granlund/Spurgeon/Rau/Bitten trade for Nylander/Kapanen/Der-Arguchintsev.
