Stone and Panarin are the only 2 pending UFA'S I would include our 1st for.
And in both cases we would need to send a contract back the other way to make the cap numbers work. The only roster player I would part with who is earning enough to make this work is Frolik.
Our 1st, Frolik, Czarinik or Mangiapane for Stone.
Johnny, Monny, Lindholm
Chucky, Backs, Stone
Benny, Janko, Neil
Dube, Ryan, Hathaway

I'd go for that-- who do we call to make it happen?
I like his compete but Mangiapane seems a bit small out there. Tons of skill, not much finish (yet), and great potential, but he gets knocked off the puck too easily right now.
I think Czarnik is worth keeping around for depth purposes. |

Ottawa will get better offers than that elsewhere. |

What takes Ferland off your hands? (in your opinion) |

I would think it would take a young d like Kylington to go along with our first. If we could somehow sign Stone long term I would do it.
But we only got so much room to sign Tkachuk, Bennett, and Rittich. |

Love Ferly but not giving a first up for him as we would not have room to re sign him. |

Word was they were asking for a 1st and a prospect, but now that we're only 3 points out of a playoff spot I wonder if that's changed a bit.
I keep looking at Tampa as a team that could likely part with a guy like Miller or Palat and a 1st in exchange for both Ferland and Faulk or something. |

Looked like knee. Yup, he's been the target of some bad luck this year. Hit with random pucks, sticks, etc. |

2019 1st, 2020 4th rounder (becomes a 2nd in 2020 should Stone resign), Mangiapane, Kylington, Neal (Retain 10% of his salary), Gillies, and one more forward like Foo or Gawdin from the Farm for Stone and some depth piece. Go for it TRE!

Sens assistant GM met with Duchene and Dzingle as they came off the ice at practice today.
Duchene's agent is in Ottawa for a face to face meeting with Pierre Dorion today.
Something is up there. |

Agreed. Personally think our biggest weakness is depth - mainly at goaltending. Package with NJD actually makes more sense to me. Find a way to get Kinkaid, Johansson, Lovejoy to shore up the depth.

No news yet but he couldn't put any pressure on it when it happened and hasn't skated since then if I recall correctly. |

I'd like that move to and its likely not as expensive.
Smith is loved in the dressing room though. |
