If Fenton continues to trade higher paid under-performers for lower paid under-performers, eventually he'll have the cap space to do something.

I think it will be Brown. Even though Hendricks looks as though he should have been either retired or playing somewhere in the AHL, he's a Boudreau fave. Not that the expectations for JT Brown were high or even slightly elevated, he has done virtually nothing with his so far short tenure with the Wild to suggest he should even get ice time let alone stay on the roster.

As big of Staal fan i've been since his days with Carolina, i think it's fair to say his regression has been swift and is getting more obvious with every game.

His legs are gone, his knack for knocking in goals around the net is greatly diminshed and quite frankly, he is an old man in what is now a very young mans game. I say all that with the utmost respect for a once great player but sometimes when it's time, it's time.

At this point his name recognition is about all he is worth, so even in trading him before the deadliine, not sure the return(s) will be much more than a middling prospect or 4th line player.

I'm sure the pens would give you Brassard for him...

Staal that is.

Fairly true words Gump. Just check out what has happened to the C in Chicago. He is having a better year this year but overall the decline has been swift and severe

Did Boudreau ever explain why he never pulled Dubnyk last night? The Wild had plenty of zone time to get him off the ice. He used to say the team wasn't playing well enough to pull the goalie when he was in Anaheim. Hopefully that's not the case, Parise played great last night, he deserved a chance to get back in the game. As fragile as the Ducks have been, if the Wild had scored one goal they probably would have been able to come back and at least tie it. Weird decision.

Gibson was rock solid, couple very close calls. But the Wild simply didn’t play well enough to warrant pulling Dubnyk. IMO
