Unbelievable what the league lets the Preds get away with. Ryan Johansen is quickly approaching Corey Perry levels of dirty.
What a game though. Perhaps the best all around performance of the season with pretty much everyone contributing in one way or another. That 4th line is getting me pretty excited for the future |

Forsberg hopefully gets a suspension. How can you swing your stick like that, connect with someone's head and not get any type of discipline?: Agree finisher, Preds are a dirty team.
NHL needs to stop and take a look at this crap. The two "experienced" refs were brought in last nite to manage this game and they were only slightly better than the Vegas crew and yet missed this potentially very dangerous play. The NHL needs to start doing their job and applying discipline equally. That is BS.
Edit: I meant to say Johansen hopefully gets a suspension. |

Its great to see the Jets get goals from lines other than Scheifeles. Roslovic playing with Laine seems to have woken Laine up as now he's getting passes with some space to do something. Lemieux and Appleton are playing with a lot more confidence and hopefully Maurice rewards their play with a bit more ice time. |

I was wrong about my prediction for the Nashville game. Scheifele though did play over 20 minutes plus in both Vegas and Nashville games. Its concerning as it looks like he's taking more of a beating as time moves forward.

Peter do you even watch the games or better yet follow the Jets? Because if you did you would know that Johansen did get a high-sticking penalty and it was actually Appleton's 2nd NHL goal. |

Okay my mistake on Appleton but do you even read the blog or follow Jets twitter? I never said Johansen didn’t get a penalty i talked about Forsberg. |

If it was a 1 handed slash to the head, you would think it could be an accident, but he was looking right at 55 and 2 handed him (tomahawk). Clearly a match penalty that the ref's as usual missed. He deserves 4 games POS |

He should have received 5 games. He knew exactly what he was doing...intent was there. The refs clearly made the wrong call....should have been a match penalty. Can't wait for Paul's Preds blog on HB justifying this and saying it's being blown way out of proportion....but when you know where your paycheck is coming from, you gotta pucker up....and Paul does that better than anyone! |

Jets need Scheifs. He is their achilles. I have no faith in Little, honestly would prefer Raslovic or Lowry manning 2C over Little. That being said, Jets have rolled over their rival teams in the west with some key players out. This team has depth in D, Goal, and Wingers. Just that 2C that concerning but now i'm nit-picking. Great win boys |

Ya two over-hyped, one-way players with little play making abilities. That's a win. I would sooner offer Laine up for a top chance in the lottery. That would solve the cap dilemma, and add a quality player with 3 cheap years. |

....or for Matthew Tkachuk. The perfect all-round player the Jets need to win the Cup. Unfortunately, as the season progresses Matthew gets stronger and stronger and Laine continues downhill. Look at todays Free Press Article. Only an insane GM would ever trade Tkachuk for Laine at this point. Same draft year...how unfortunate. |

You’re both equally insane, but in different ways. One seemingly knows nothing about the players he’s describing, and is completely oblivious to deployment.
The other has the player values completely out of whack, while embracing the classic strategy of buy-high and sell-low.
This fan base deserves no happiness |

Yes. Puljajarvi has been excellent in the top 6, can be had for Myers probably, and will only flourish here. Also bumps Tanev to free agency, and while I love him, I will laugh at his next contract |

You've hated Tanev for the last two seasons and now suddenly you "love him". So predictable. I'm sure you'll have some lame excuse for this as well.
Furthermore, it just demonstrates how pathetic your hockey acumen is to even suggest that Puljujarvi could be had for Myers. Myers for your information is a UFA at season end and Puljujarvi is in same boat as Laine.....lots of RFA years still. No way Edmonton would do that deal, especially considering they likely won't make the playoffs and therefore would be giving away Jesse for nothing. |

Yes silence is golden. Paul's Pred Blog is blatent fan based homerism cheerleading. Last October's game in Nashville where the refs ruined the game and the Jets got 9 straight penalties he pointed out that Winnipeg MSM agreed the most of the Jets penalties were deserved but failed to mention the ignored/missed calls against the Preds. Jets can hockey and be physical. Preds can hockey but respond to Jets physicality by dirty plays as demonstrated by Johannson & pretty boy Forsberg. |

Johannson gets 2 games ... there we go
Why would you trade Myers when Troubs is on his way out ? ... like, WTF ?
Tanev will be re-signed I bet for a good deal - and that's good ... Perrault is odd man out - and that's really too bad but - that's life in the big leagues
Copp is anchoring 4th line now reasonably well ... Lowry has the 3rd, so we're still staring at the 2C spot and wondering "if not Little - then who ?" ... Roslo just not there yet ... Duchesne seems to be best candidate (unless, of course, Chevy pulls another rabbit outa the hat) but I read now they want him to stay ... or not ... or whatever
F_ck of a good run these last 7 games except the turd vs Wild .... boy, I don't wanna play Wild 1st round
Here's to tonight - let's hope the boys don't lay back before their break ... gotta post another W at least for the Dad's !

Myers (and Kuli) have been playing lights out lately. Recall, the organization treated him and his family very well a couple seasons back when he struggled with injuries and some personal issues. I believe this will play in the managements favour when attempting to resign him to a team friendly deal this off season.
Anyways... couple things going against the Jets. tonight. They are coming off playing two strong, high profile games against stiff competition, and it is the game before the break.
Generally, the team hasn't performed particularly well in either of these situations. I would be happy for the lack-lustre style of game we saw in Vancouver before the Christmas break.
Hoping the forth line continues to buzz tonight |

I agree. Myers will be extended. Tanev will be extended. Trouba is out the door. Duchesne for Perreault and Morrow ( or Petan) makes a lot of sense for Ottawa and the Jets.

I’ve said multiple times I love Tanev. It’s usually followed in the same tweet by “I hate Tanev” but I’ve said it. I just don’t say it here because there’s usually a circle jerk over him, as opposed to the more knowledgeable level headed approach to Mr. Grit found elsewhere on the interweb.
You’re also talking about the same GM that traddd Taylor Hall for Adam Larsson, signed Lucic and Russell, lost on Barzal for Reinhart, lost two Ryan Strome trades, and traded McDavid’s best friend for a $2,500,000 healthy scratch.
Myers for Pool party is absolutely possible |

I take Myers at 3x3 at most. Let him walk.
Kulikov will be moved in the summer.
Tanev and Chiarot need to walk, as does Morrow.
The 4th line continues to be massacred, thanks to Lemieux, after a decent game |
