That's a pretty weak proposal in terms of value. I have a hard time imagining they bite on that considering they could probably get the rental value equivalent to at least two 2nds for the guy.

Gambardella has near-zero value and a 3rd is nothing. This player is much more valuable than Maroon and his cost should reflect that. Hell, Grabner got a 2nd and a prospect.

That being said, I agree that he'd be a good target. Fits the criteria we have to a tee. Add him and then Zucker or Coyle in the offseason

Nick Jensen is a guy I'll posit as a good target if the team wants to push for the playoffs. Good rel numbers across the board save for raw GF which makes me think it's more a string of bad luck than a serious concern.

As much as I want to keep him, I believe that Benning seems to be on the outside looking in and thus would be a piece I'd make the centerpiece. Jensen for Benning, Safin and a conditional 4th (becomes a 3rd if he resigns? Or if they reach the conf. finals?)

Frees up some cap space next year and upgrades in Benning this year. The team can dedicate cap from Benning and Petrovic to resigning Jensen if it goes well. I think this is a potential Kempny-type add.

Replace Benning with Jones if one or both of the band-aides return

Why would you want to make it Jones? Hes been playing solid hockey considering the circumstances and should qualify as a big part of our future.

As the market progresses over the next month it will he interesting to see what happens. Silfverberg is a great player but the NHL is such a "what have you done for me lately " league his value may be lower.

A better fit and something that may be more enticing and fair would be Marody and a third (second if resigns). Marody is 22, plays centre or wing, is 22 and signed for two more years.

Because he is not a top 2 dman today... and he currently is overextended- give him less minutes- let him grow in the 3-4 roles...

Its fair to start low- especially with rentals- but I think you've gotta be prepared to go higher. I'd go as far as a 2nd, a conditional 3rd (upon him resigning) and Marody.

Oh, I thought you said replacing Benning in the trade Thought you were insane for a second! Agreed.

Klefbom- Larsson
Nurse- Russell/Jensen
Jones- Jensen/Sekera
Gravel- Petrovic
Manning- Persson/Bouchard

I think that's a sufficiently deep D corps to push into the postseason with.

Hells no- Jones is making Chia and his drafting look smart lately and maturing into one sweet pick... I would say dump Manning as well even for a 7th...

Manning isn't there based on merit; he's there because no one (except for Chiarelli) is taking his contract.

If the team was able to contact Silfverberg prior to the deal and confirm any interest in resigning at a reasonable rate, then I wouldn't be opposed to such a deal.

If I could as the 0ilers, I'd try and get him for a 2nd and @rospect with upside, Bear? Maybe? Freelancer is write . Lol Bergie would be a good addition to our top 6. An Ideal situation would be when they realize they (the ducks). Are out of the playoffs, and try back to back 2nds, or maybe a 2nd, 4th and Gambriedella. Or how ever you spell it. They need to ship out the manning contract, I am getting a bald spot from that head scratchers. We don't wann over pay for a rental, and he's not worth a first straight across

Rumour has it that Katz is demanding nothing less than a playoff appearance this year. Should make for an interesting trade deadline.

Then perhaps the (frank)ing idiot should hire a management team that could actually make this team into a playoff team....Katz deserves every bit of failure
