Stone just looks like a flyer type player so it makes sense that they would go after him no matter where they are in the standings.
What would Philly offer up in return for Stone/Anderson reasonably given stone is a UFA and understanding this is more about the future than this year?
I could see Travis Konekny as being the roster player, either Jay O'brien or Morgan Frost, and then
1) a conditional first round pick: if Stone signs an extension.
2) A separate conditional second round pick: if the Flyers make the playoffs
I would guess Neuvirth would be thrown in for Anderson in a swap of under achievers. - B-Wforever Konekny, Frost, Neiuverth + 1st 2020 for Stone, Anderson and SJS 2nd... I'd do that...

That would be an incredible deal for the Sens...
I think a more reasonable offer would be Stone + SJS 2nd 2019 for Philly 1st 2020 + Provorov or Patrick - riceroni
A UFA and a 2nd for a young franchise D and a 1st? More reasonable? What is it with Sens' fans? |

Why on earth would the Sens want pieces for this year??
But for the sake of argument I'll bite
To PHI
M. Stone 7.35M
C. Anderson 4.75M
M. Lajoie 0.710M
3rd round pick 2020* (OTT owns CLB 3rd round pick 2020, PHI receives highest pick)
To OTT
N. Patrick 0.925M
J. Voracek 8.25M
I. Provorov 0.894M
M. Neuvirth 2.5M
1st round pick 2019
3rd round pick 2020* (becomes 2nd round pick if Stone resigns) - Halfday77
I think Philly needs to add Giroux, Ghost and Giroux to even this out lolol |

I would assume Stone resigning... sorry that should have been written in... But, Philly is also desperate and you never know what a new GM to a team is willing to do |

Maybe some people don't know who Provorov is? Even a signed Stone, Philly ain't trading Provorov or Patrick for that matter... Geez, here let me try... Habs trade Benn, Niemi and a 3rd to Ottawa for Chabot and their 2020 1st! Sounds about right, no? |

Looks like the Flyers' fans I heard from they see the writing on the wall.
The Flyers have some really good YOUNG pieces, obviously Nolan Patrick being on that list. I don't think they need Hughes, that said, what a uphill climb to get back in the playoffs. It will likely exhaust them too (like the Sens in 2016) and they'll be bounced in the first round.
So I agree, if I'm a Flyer's fan, I make some moves at the deadline with the future (next year in mind) if you added Hughes to this group, and they were able to move a big contract like JVR or Voracek - not saying they will or can - then this team would be a serious contender for years to come. But they'll need someone to come in for a year or two until Hart is ready - AlfieisKing
I agree with this. Hart will need a solid partner next year. But the flyers are playing like trash and he has a .920% in 8 games. Looking exceptionally calm and in control after rebounding from getting pulled in the 1st a few games ago |

Provorov and Carter Hart are nearly untouchable. Sure, if they were offered McDavid or Matthews, they're available, but that's not gonna happen. |

Bob McKenzie said flyers are looking for a top goalie to mentor Hart for a couple years, top 4 dman to provide leadership to the youth, and a top 2-3 line centre man. He went on to say they would use picks and prospects to try to get these players.
Anderson would be a target, Stone is a winger - but definitely worth chasing.
But I don’t think they will go all in on a package for these guys unless it envolves Stone resigning and moving Voraceck. Numbers need to work somehow.
A play for a dman could be bouemeester. He would be a good mentor and St. Louis would likely rather keep paryanko over him long term. No sure he has a no trade or actually what his term left is |

Eklund where do you get this poop?
The Flyers need to make up 14 points and leap frog 8 teams to get a wild card spot.
Why in hell would they pursue an expensive UFA like Stone unless they could dump Voracek, JVR and Andrew McDonald on the Sens and we all know those are the kind on contracts Melnyk wants.
They are in full tank for Jack Hughes mode. |

This. No way a JVR/Voracek with their age and term passes muster with El Presidente Eugenio. If OTT want to trade nearly 12M in salary in Anderson and Stone, Flyers have 7.3 in space, so they'd need to trade nearly 5M back, minimum. Only player on PHI that fits what the Sens would want and has salary is Ghost, which I can't see being an attractive parting option for PHI. Sens could alternatively take Lehtera's salary given he's UFA. They could get creative by eating Mac's salary, but they won't with this owner. If OTT doesn't absorb the salary they are actively trying to shed, they don't give PHI the room they will need for the important RFAs in Kon and Prov, so you have to assume one of those would move in such a trade. Frankly I don't see why PHI would buy at all right now and this all seems redundant. |

Duchene, Stone, and Anderson for Voracek+Lindblom+Myers+ Conditional 2020 1st if both Duchene and Stone resign, lottery protected. And Flyers have to be able to talk to players before deal is done to see if they are willing to resign.
Forgot to add Nuevirth going back haha |
