You guys have got me wanting a Toews winter classic jersey, and so I went looking online, and everyone is sold out of the size I need...
- ToewsdNKanefusd

Haha they'll be back in stock soon here. First wave is kinda going through and then they'll stock up and have a TON. What size are you looking for?

52 or large. I figured eventually they would be back in stock. I'm not in that big of a rush to get it, but shows you that Hawks are still relevant and popular.

Ahh same as me. Yeah I looked a few places and I couldn't find it either. I'd say in the next few weeks here they'll be back in stock. Especially once they start pumping out the Kane All Star jersey too (which looks pretty sweet BTW). I was gonna say, I've never done it, but I've heard you can call the Blackhawks store and order over the phone and I believe they can ship it to you. Not 100% sure on that though. Other than that actually going to the Hawks store located in the atrium or in the city would be your best bet, but idk where your located at. I'm sure either would have it in stock, b like you said you're not in any rush to get one

That's really cool!

I got a hoodie with the original 6 teams on the front. My nephew just bought me an original 6 winter hat, of course it's the one size fits none.

I can't emphasize how important it is for the Hawks to finish as close to dead last as possible. If the season ended today, the Hawks would have the 8th best odds of getting in the top 3. Not great. Why? Because if they're not a top 4 pick, chances are they don't play in the NHL next year.

2018 draft: top 4 picks are playing in the NHL
2017 draft: top 2 picks played their first year
2016 draft: the 1,2, and 4 picks played
2015 draft: the 1,2 and 5 picks played
2014 draft: the 1 and 3 picks played

The Hawks have a less than 25% chance of getting a top three pick right now. They know they're not playoff material. They should be sellers at the deadline according to most folks. They need to make sure that they have the worst record possible to get the best pick possible.

Stan said in his interview with Scott Powers that there's no reason to not be very excited about next year. They expect a quick turnaround. If they add a top forward and decent defenseman, they'll be better. But they won't be over-the-top contending without adding a home-grown great forward. If we know anything from that brief history of the draft, only the first couple picks make it to the big show.

Lose for Hughes, Cacca for Kakko, whatever you want to call it. They have to get one of those top four picks.

I'm like 5 miles northwest of Elgin along I-90, so unless I am downtown or going to a game (which I have no plans to do either anytime soon), I probably won't visit the stores. I'll just wait until everyone has stocked up on them again. But they are really awesome looking jerseys!

While not dismissing the suckage of other teams at the bottom, remember one thing: was have played at least one and up to 5 more games that every team below us right now.

I don't know...there is no guarantee that any draftees are ready for the NHL right away. I'd rather the Hawks keep the winning culture alive, and keep improving their roster. Hughes could be a bust for all we know. I am actually higher on Kakko from all the talk of him on this board, but again, no guarantee that he can step in right away...

Plus there is no guarantee you get one of the top 3 picks if you finish in the bottom 3, could still end up with the 4th-6th pick.

While he didn't get a lot of shots on net, did anyone else think that Hayden had one of his best games of the season last night? If he could bring that every game... he would play every game. Simple, went to the corners, won pucks, laid some Preds into the end boards. All good things.

On the back of my old sweater I went with number 6, and the name is "original " .Original 6 baby ..

I saw a full gamer red jersey in the old bulding that had for the side and back number double S's with vertical lines through the middle (dollar signs) and the name was "Wirtz".

I tried to buy it but the guy wouldn't sell. It was a classic.

A top pick this year won't be the savoir of the team for next season. The Hawks aren't 1 top draft pick away from contending. Getting one of those top 3 picks would be great, but overall I just hope they draft well and fix the holes on the roster. If they can keep working on defending better, I think that is much more important.

It's got nothing to do with Wirtz, buy your selling made me think of a story. My grandfather, rip, told me stories about him with Hull. My grandfather went to just about every signing he was at, and actually drank shots with him at a bar. One signing event, my grandfather was right behind a guy with a curved hockey stick, the same that Hull played with. Hull said, "I got to have that stick." Hull gave him tickets, a jersey, something else that I can't remember for the stick. Fair trade, haha, he definitely made it worth the while for the guy.

I think the problem this year with defense, especially after Q was fired, has been trust. It seemed to me, at least earlier on, that the vets weren't trusting the young new guys to do their jobs defensively, and kept trying to cover for them, resulting in a lot of missed coverages. You still see it sometimes now, but over the last 10 games or so, they have been getting a lot better in that regard. It is a slow process and they have been improving over the course of the season so far, which is all we really wanted this season. To show us that they are improving and can possibly get back to being contenders in the next couple of years.

I didn't do a sweater, but I did a long sleeve shirt with Adb on it. The winter hats were nice too. I think one of the games recently, at the UC, they were handing out WC scarves.

Noticed that as well about Hayden. Agree, if he can keep his game simple playing a heavy style, making smart plays, and doing dirty work on a consistent basis, he is a keeper on the 4th line. A defined role and staying within that role are what will spell success for him. Once he starts playing fancy and outside of his means, he is ineffective and not worth a roster spot.

Hahaha right? I've always looked for deals though buying mine. Only ever paid full price for two of them: 2019 Winter Classic and my old school Bobby Hull one (but it was when they had buy one get one free before Adidas took over so I got my girl one too).

Damn bro that's some s#i!!y luck lmao I dealt with that problem as a kid so when I got older and decided to start building my own I made the decision...well first my girl got my first one and got me a Saad one in '15 when we first started dating cuz I'm like he's a beast and he isn't going to go anywhere!...then he got traded and THEN I made the decision to only go with core players that 20 or so years from now people will remember and appreciate. That's a solid collection yourself ya got. Few cult favs to go with the core. I wanna get a Hammer one but I haven't found one worth the price since he got traded. One day I will get that to add to my collection. My girl is a HUGE Andrew Shaw fan so she's got like three of his jersey's (Red, Black, and I got her a signed Montreal one too) that she still wears to this day and a Darling one too lol our collection is ridiculous man. Pretty sure together her and I have more jerseys than actual clothes

- Savetheembers33

Yeah, it sucks, haha. I think I jinxed the team. That's pretty awesome with the Shaw sweaters! Even if it's Montreal......

I hear you on the goaltenders. Not a lot of teams can say they have a stellar starter and great back-up, especially for the long period of time we did.

He's been with us a long time, so good for him. I just hope the next guy does the same thing with this great defense we got. They're going to be something for years to come.

Exactly, we have a ton of holes to fill, why does 1 non-guaranteed forward fix us? I'm on the try to win, draft well where the pieces fall, and make long term beneficial trades.
