From the time we drafted him, Zacha has reminded me of a somewhat faster Dainius Zubrus. Zubrus didn't really break out with point totals until his 4th or 5th NHL season. Hopefully Zacha can have that kind of breakout soon too, if he doesn't turn into a 50 point forward at some point that pick looks real bad no matter what the shot total and possession numbers say.

Im very impressed with Blackwood. Its weird to say, but Im not used to seeing a goalie movie so quick side to side. Cory and KK do not do that at all. Hynes said they are giving him a long look, I wonder if that means Cory is on his way out.

I think if Blackwood keeps it up, it's far more likely that Kinkaid is on his way out after the season. A buy out of Schneider would be costly and unnecessary considering the Devils have tons of cap room and it will be very difficult to move a 33 year old goalie with 3 years at 6 million left and a full no trade clause.

Totally agree. KK is just too inconsistent.

I'm not saying Blackwood is the next Brodeur, but they have the same initials. They both broke in wearing #29, and they both got their first win against the Boston Bruins. Both allowed 2 goals in their first win....

What I am saying is maybe Blackwood pushes his way into the Devil's net and despite the shaky AHL/ECHL career he becomes our next NJ goalie going forward.

Yeah, I'm also not going to put much stock in his AHL career, Binghamton is terrible and those stats may not be a sign that Blackwood stinks so much as it's a team effort to be that bad. For what it's worth, Eddie Lacks NHL stats look Vezina worthy compared to his stats with Binghamton.

I saw, its pretty refreshing for an owner to not be scared to speak the truth. Benn is getting paid 13 mil and only has 15 goals.

I wish more owners and GMS gave to these players like this dude.

great road win last night boys, anytime you can beat the dirty Bruins especially in their own barn is a bonus. Backes should be suspended for that cheap-shot, but he probably won't because it seems the Bruins never get suspended no matter what they do.

I love watching Wood and Coleman play, those dudes are puck hungry and have a big time work ethic, especially Wood.

Why though. This maybe a career ending injury, then he just stays on IR. I would rather Corey get better and return to form and give Blackwood some time to develop.
