From Botterill's last interview on WGR he mentioned help coming from Rochester...

If that is the case Pommer would probably be the guy that sits

Skinner Eichel Reinhart
Sheary Mitts Okposo
Smith Sobotka Thompson
Wilson Larsson Girgensons

I think Pommer and Thompson are the two that rotate in and out

Receivers can come in and make a difference, even in year 1.

usually this does not happen, in year 1

This is business, Michael, and you're making it very, very personal

There are exceptions in life.

This is one of those cases.

Jbotts is gonna extend him as well. (Cheap)

If we fall out of the playoff hunt prior to the deadline, he would do his friend a favor.

It happens a lot more often than O-Line does.

I got about as little credit for predicting this as I did how the berglund situation was going to play out
- homiedclown

Definitely

Pommer will not be nervous heading into the playoffs
Neither will sheary.

Wonder why we traded for them?

Neither may score a goal or contribute on the score sheet.
The young guys will have a calming force.

Good post:

We're pretty thin on the o line for sure.

I feel like that's the over pay them in free agency postion.

Receivers can come in and make a difference, even in year 1.

Tight end - although croom has played well

- Boss34

Blocking maybe

But his hands are a question mark for me

the law of syllogism would then imply Tage sucks, and I don't want to go there yet
- homiedclown

I'd say tage has the better future?

Can we agree on that?

Tage is exactly what I want.
Sure, it would be great if he scored 15-20.

But, we get to pretend he's going to be a power forward on eichels line in the future.

There's always a prospect spot open for me....

I am not a fan of his game at all

For every 1 good play he makes he makes 8 horrible ones a game.

I like his speed but he is a turnover machine.

Maybe he takes Sobotka out of the lineup as a 3C but I hate that idea.

I do wonder if this is just a bad year for him. He is coming off of injury last year.

Calvin ridley
DJ Moore

Pretty sad list.

Randy moss for $1,000?
Beckham
Even Benjamin......

We need someone that can put a little fear in the defense
Hopefully develop with allen

I love that when the Sabres are playing well this board turns to debates over the quality of individual players and those who are no longer part of the franchise.

And personal attacks and insults.

Suck it Beady!

Wide receiver is the most glaring need on the bills.
It would make our qb much better.

Shaq lawson is finally playing decent.

We need a #1 we, even if we trade down to layer in the first

- Boss34

I don't think the addition of talented WR's will help much. I don't like Allen - he wasn't good in college and nothing he's shown here in the NFL shows me that will change. What they really need to do is somehow acquire a real NFL QB, but that would take having someone in charge here knowing what they're doing. I have no faith in Beane ... the guys moves have basically sucked. Basically, we're screwed forever. I've learned to deal with it.

Bah Humbug.

Eh. I think he’s a prototypical 13th forward.

Good speed. Really nothing else. Absolutely fine with him here playing 40-50 games for 10 min a night going forward.

I agree.

Going into next year with croom as #1?

Ouch.

Wonder if they base the position on the QBs needs?

does allen look for the te 1st on his reads?
Is this really relevant?

I wish we had Goodwin or woods
Sammy can stay gone

When Johan Larsson and Zemgus Girgensons are out scoring you 5 on 5 there is an issue

I don't think Allen trusts his receivers other than Foster and maybe Jones but I question that lately.

The Clay drop last week in the middle of the field when he would have easily had a 20 yard completion was it for me with him. Maybe Allen doesn't trust them to make a play?

Allen certainly isn't afraid to throw to the middle of the field. I wonder what he could do with a guy who could catch the ball in space?

Problem is his hockey IQ is so low they can’t play him in a bigger role.

I like him in the future as an extra forward. He can skate and makes a really good play here and there.

Let’s put it this way, I’d rather have him than Elie, but I’d rather see Nylander or CJ than both
