Good god is it lame watching this team have the exact same problems year after year. Stretches of bad goaltending, midseason swoons, guys just cant bury pucks. Rinse, repeat. What were we to expect though after this off season? That adding a few 4th lind grinders would somehow make the team better? I think its time to blow this mother up. Get younger anywhere we can. I would gladly sacrifice a season or two of no playoffs to get some decent young prospects in here.
PS. Boy am i glad the wild drafted JEE over Brock Boeser....
Well they looked good for a period... then proceeded to get out played, out worked and failed to bury at least 6 point blank chances of which at least 3 should have been goals.
Then magically Koivu is back up on the second line. I really wish Boudreau would stick with the lines he started with yesterday. They did really look pretty good in the first...
Same old story... can't finish, can't capitalize on prime scoring chances, can't stay disciplined. Pretty tough to win with those circumstances and damn sure tough to win when you spot the other team 2 free goals.
