I've always liked Palat, this would help Bo a lot and be much cheaper than Stone. That being said, Palat's value will not be low whereas there is some great UFA's to throw cash at.

100% There are untouchables on this team and Quinn is definitely one. That's one of the reason's I'm wary of a regime change, they may not feel the same and all of a sudden guys that wouldn't be dealt by JB are available. I mean I've only been saying this since last year, but I guess this is a novel idea today?! Anyway, he would make a very solid shutdown wing with BO, like Toews/Hossa level IMO. The price is going to very high, make no mistake he'll get 9+ from someone on the open market. Lot of cake for a winger but he is elite. This is the first offseason in a while where I could see guys wanting to come to Van though with EP,Bo and BB looking as good as they do.

Making Sven expendable & some cap is saved there. Others might want Skinner but as you say Stone is all around complete elite. Edler is getting a shave if resigned is my guess. Free from MDZ is more cap. Lots of possiblities & permutations could happen.

Stone at 6’4” 219lbs makes Lefty happier 😂
