We are no worse or better keeping them here that sure has shown over the past few seasons. Sutter brings intangibles that Edler-Tanev-Granlund don't obviously but technically we will be fine without them. Need the assets they will bring.

Trading your best 2 D, would definitely make the team worse, which would impact on the teams ability to keep the puck out of the net and set up the forwards to score...this would potentially impact on things like EP continuing to score and wining the Calder.

no he didn’t. He made some trades, but the core had nothing to do with him. How One of the worst drafting GM’s in NHL history has an “a good eye for prospects” is beyond me. Look at the guys he drafted, soooooo bad. Maybe one or two 180 game careers out of three drafts

I have no expectations. Two trades of any type I’d be very happy with. Edler and letting maybe OJ or Sautner finish out the year makes some sense. Granlund or Sutter. I don’t think Tanev will move Tbh.

What if the lottery winning team offers us the 1st overall pick for Quinn Hughes and our 2019 1st rounder (7-10 spot) ? Is Jack Hughes that good or are we in need of a Dman more than a center? Thoughts anyone?

I couldn’t do that. Keep Quinn & take a shot at Lafrenniere looks better IMO. The D cannot stay status quo.

At this point, I think its time to move on and allow space for others. If they see others may need more seasoning, you can sign some free agents in the summer.
