Sam Hitchcock: Lightning Obliterate Avalanche, Win Streak at Six

Lightning looked like they were at another level. Simply overwhelmed the Avs.

But what's interesting to me is how will this team respond as the season goes on into the playoffs and everything from space and checking gets tighter.

For now I'll enjoy this ride as the Lightning are a treat to watch and if they play a complete game will be hard to beat.

That game was one of the most dominating performances I've seen the Lightning put on. They started the game playing physical with their speed then just totally wore Colorado down with their speed. Colorado had no room to move and you could see they were just ready to get out of there. The look no their faces after some of those goals was one of pure disbelief, like how can they stop what was happening to them.

If that Lightning team shows up most nights it's going to be bad news for the rest of the league, 4 lines who work non stop, hard to compete with that.
