Thanks Bill, good recap. I’m hopeful Fletcher can find a first or second line center for this team, Hextall putting his faith in a first year player last year and a second year player this year (Patrick) to pivot that second line is a big reason, to me, why we are where we are.

I don’t know what Patrick will become but in my opinion he’s not a top six guy right now.

Ron picked the wrong center unfortunately for us. It sucks but it's true.

they sucked for most of the game and lost. at home. again.

stolarz, first line and pk were good. sanheim shows his offensive potential.

Hakstol can make Patrick 3C by moving G back to C. I would do that for now.

He's 20. He needs time to develop.

Going into the season with a 20 yr old 2C and no proven 3C was a really poor decision on Hextall's part. While Nolan can certainly improve this is much more on Hextall than it is on Patrick imo.

I'm not a fan of it but they may have to unless a trade is made. Move JVR up to the top line and get him going. Long term I want G at LW tho.

Jesus the Patrick hate. Your right hes better suited as a 3c right now. But kid lost most of his final year of junior and rookie season to injury. Regaining his footing in the NHL and than trying to be a 2nd line weapon with inconsistent linemates and heavy defensive responsibilities is tough. Especially with jvr who is generating little to nothing right now and simmer who has never been a huge 5v5 driver.

The kid will be FINE.

For whatever reason, right now they seem to be reluctant to do that?

I wasn’t saying Patrick is a bust, I’m saying RIGHT NOW he’s not the best option as second line center.

I don’t know what he’ll become but right now he’s clearly not ready to pivot that second line. Just my opinion.

You are right Jarhead already look like a cap anchor. I doubt he will nail 36 goals here, maybe 36 over 5 years.

Yeah I know he missed a bunch of time, but he has been back long enough.... I think.....

Has he been back? I keep forgetting he is out there.

Probably because the first line is the only line producing.

Is sloppy play on Coach?
Do like that he mixed up lines trying to see stuff.
Did Hexy handcuff him to mix lines up?

Sanheim jumping up in play was also refreshing?
Mr. Wilson's call?

Agreed as Hak totally let in a bad first goal or turned the Puck over on a bad pass in OT then got beat on the boards.

I was wondering that as well. I don't like the hextall firing but I like the move to bring in Wilson.

I still noticed that provy seemed to struggle. Just seems unsure of himself

Yeah. Anyone who thought recent changes would address the issues is off target. I'm hoping that fletch doesn't wait til the deadline to shake things up. If we get creamed on the road trip which I expect, make the changes now.

I like sanheim but I expect he's a piece that will be moved to shake things up. Probably turn into a Norris dman for another squad. Haha
