I don't think his last name has anything to do with it, the AHL and KHL are filled with former players kids who cant make it. this is all about Maurice and the organization seeing something in Lemieux that no one else can. It's a baffling move to me!!! I was totally on board with Lemieux getting a chance this year, he has and has done not single thing worthy of staying up.

I hope they sign him soon! He's a great 4/5 defenseman and on most nights plays better than the other teams 4/5 defenseman.

Trouba our supposed number 1 defenseman rarely outperforms other team number 1 defenseman.

Myers is far from a great #4 D. he is a serviceable 5/6, not great but yea an NHL 5/6 D. most teams hate their third pair, Myers joining any 5/6 pair in the league wouldn't change this. Paying a 5/6, bottom pair D anything over 2.5 million per year is a huge mistake and waste of cap space. If Myers wants to re sign here for 2 years at 2.5 per, great. I'll sign him. anything more, no thank you
