The Sabres will be shooting for 10 wins in a row tonight vs. a Sharks team with whom they've had a strange relationship in that no matter how bad Buffalo was or how good San Jose was at the time, the Sabres always give them a hard time with an overall record of 17-2-1 against the Sharks at home. In the past 13 seasons, Buffalo has lost in regulation only twice at home to the Sharks

That is just... A weird statistical anomaly. Good work dredging that odd factoid up

I like the lines, considering the options available

If Sheary can't play next game, do you think we'll get a skill call-up from Roch?

Unfortunately, no.

Would like to see Nylander or Olofsson get the call soon.

They did a "made you look" with Pilut on me.

IMO, CJ Smith and Bailey will be first forwards called up.

Olofsson isn’t ready, Nylander isn’t good (yet)

I wouldn't mind seeing O'Regan in a 4th line role. 11p in 19gp. At some point we need to see if the 24-year old is NHL caliber

Is Olofsson back from his injury yet? I thought he was still out.

depends...we'll see how this game goes...one side makes me think that Housley will simply use what he has, which is probably what will happen...but if they do make a move, am thinking that cj smith might get the call if they need someone to actually play and not get the call to sit in the press box

They have room for 1 call up + any emergency call ups they want (who then can't play). If Sheary and Bogo can't play, they are at 12 forwards and 6 D. Hard to say whether that call up would be a forward or D.

They might not need a call up tonight, but I expect at least one to go to Florida with them. Smith or Pilut are solid bets.

but then your moving one of gus, angry larry, or elie into a top-nine role, which I don't think you'd go for

True, but I'm done being critical of Phil's choices. He has proven to have a deft touch this year. If that's what it takes to get a look at O'Regan, I'd do it

I hope Homie was right and we are looking to make a move for the top nine. We are a legit 3rd line C away from not falling flat on our face once skinners shooting % and our gotaltending come back down to Earth.

Yes he is back... played about 3 games now I think. Just found the score sheet last game with an assist I believe.

Edit: score sheet is 2 assists in three games

yeah, he's been pretty good lately...a winning streak will help that, but it shouldn't take away from how he's managed the team ever since his big moves on October 20
