If the Lightning played a full 60 minutes consistently instead of only 20-30 minutes a game they are good enough to win the Stanley Cup. Considering they are 14-6-1 with the inconsistent play shows they have a lot of talent.

Its frustrating to watch them some times, last night they were dog poop for 2 periods but then they play their game and absolutely dominate but come up short. The other night they played a good 45 minutes then came unglued and gave up 4 goals in what 8 minutes.

Inconsistency will be the death of this team. When they put it all together I don't think anyone can beat them in a seven game series, but I also know they are too inconsistent to keep it together for a whole playoff run.

That 2nd goal that Domingue let in was trash. He should have stopped that one.

My first thought after Hedman scored was : Well, we better get 3 or 4 more, or this goal won't mean jack. And it was obvious from the get-go that Rinne wasn't going to have a bad game, so I didn't have a good feeling about our chances.

Our offense can compensate for the lack of Vasi *IF* we are facing another team with average or worse goaltending. Against a solid goalie like Rinne, we are going to need 3+ goals per game to win without Vasi.

I hope cool-hand Stralman is back soon. Our blueline is all cattywampus without him.

Agreed. The only thing consistent about this team, is the inconsistency.

Note Predators were without Arvidsson arguably their second best forward and Subban a top 4 dman. Plus Nylander who they will acquire this week........

Awesome! And who exactly are we getting from all of this scenario?

I did notice that Subban and Arvidsson were absent. I really enjoy watching Subban play and look forward to our matchups against him. So, it was a double bummer for me - the Lightning lost, and I didn't even get to see Subban wheeling around.

I am glad we only have to play you guys twice per season - barring a SCF matchup.
