Even if it was Severson for Nylander one for one, I almost wouldn't do it.

Nylander wants 7+M/y while Severson is almost 3M/y cheaper. Nylander is borderline asking too much.

If Severson turns into a 55 pt defenceman, that's worth more than Nylander as a 60+ pt winger and he's on a very good budget... if only Severson played better zone pressure defence.

I would love to have Butch, Sev and Ty but if Hall isnt staying Nylander would be nice. But I dont know much about him. Is he really good ? Worth 8 mil?

The question is, is this team better than last year's team so as to go farther in the playoffs? The data so far says no. Do I see that changing? No. So what do you do to make this team better? I hope Shero knows the answer because I don't.

I dont think we are that far from being a competitive team. If we could manage to draft in the top 5, sign Karlsson and trade for another top 6 forward we should be a consistent playoff team. A guy like Kakko or Hughes or even Dach would make a big difference.
