I wouldn't trade Gritty for Hedman and Kucherov

So they seem to respond offensively to playing a loose and hard hitting style but they have an absolutely terrible PK. That's gotta be a fun line to walk.

Done, but you also take Callahan and we get "future considerations".

This point and comeback bought Hak some time.

He was perfectly fine for 2+ periods. And i am not sure how many goals you can hang on him.

They always seem to do just enough to buy him another week or two.

Just spoiled on Vasi, and Bishop before that. You're right, Domingue wasn't terrible. He did face north of 40 shots and made a few clutch saves when needed.

I just had a feeling this was going to be another 5-alarm fire, and it started out as a slow burn and then escalated quickly into a full blown dumpster fire in the Tampa end of the ice for the last 10 minutes of regulation.

I decided a while back not to comment about the team until after they played 20 games, good or bad. I wanted to get a look at each team in the league at least twice, and I have, before I offered a thought.

I doubt that I can say anything that hasn't been said...I am not that smart.

But yeah. For those who don't watch other teams and aren't completely sure, this isn't a hot take: The PK is absolutely as bad as you think it is, and if they don't get it fixed, it will be the primary factor in them missing the playoffs.

The league is so close, and their PK is so bad, it just can't be this bad and lead to long term success

The end result shouldn't hide our deficiencies. Our pk and goaltending are horrendous. We finally responded with a little snarl and it looked good. We picked up our play. We need that every game.

Bottom line is this team is not going anywhere with pk and goaltending situation. Hak is Hak. Hey, that's hockey.

God save us.

Ha! What's up, man?

I swear, this team and PK are driving me to drink

On the Point goal, I literally just threw my hands in the air and started talking to myself

Oh yay.
Plenty to complain about with this team so we don't need illogical things also.

I don’t need this team to drink, but they are definitely responsible for the slow banging of my head against the wall at least twice a game.

They could maybe outscore the goaltending, believe it or not -- everyone is getting strafed this year, at some points. It's not always pretty and obviously Elliott needs to be healthy, but if I had a gun to my head, I'd say the goaltending is slightly below average. Not ideal, but not so bad that a team with their overall talent couldn't fake it and make it

It's the PK that's gonna kill them. The 80s Oilers couldn't outscore the combination of the PK and goaltending. If they could even kill at maybe 75-77 percent or so, they maybe wouldn't leave enough points on the table after 82 games that you can squint and see them making the playoffs, but this PK is so damn bad, I don't know if they can even do that

It's insane how much they give up on the PK, compared to the league. It's absolutely insane

Hextall's a better man than me. He is. Because I'd have fired and traded my way to a PK that isn't the abomination that it is

I sit there sometimes and watch it, and then I watch other teams-- not even the best teams on the kill, even just average ones -- and you just wonder HTF nobody's gotten fired or traded to address this
