Uncle Eugene wouldn't pay out Bouchers contract, part of Q's still owed 6m next year then sign him to another contract to probably the same amount.

even if Q wouldnt to come to Ottawa, the cheap ass wouldnt open up his wallet to make it happen

So they follow up a feel good win with a feel bad loss.
The offence this year has been great. They just need to fix the defensive zone coverages and the PK. While the inexperience of the defence is an issue, changes can be made to the systems used by the team because the current ones aren’t very effective.

I'm so pissed with this effort. Even I put in more effort yesterday from the couch.

1) Goaltending. Not really McKenna's fault tbh, maybe he could've stopped one or two more but he made a few good saves in the third. But when are we gonna realize that Gustavsson is already far superior to both Condon and McKenna? Why can't we give him a few starts (like Rinne/Saros)? Otherwise please trade for a better back-up.

2) Defense. When is DeMelo, our best defensive Dman, getting more ice time?
Demote Jaros and Lajoie please, give Wolanin and Englund a shot. Lajoie needs to regain his confidence. Jaros has been terrible the last few games.
Also Ceci, damn, I'm really trying to defend you sometimes but this was just so bad. Time to move on.

Englund - Wideman
Borowiecki - Ceci (<15 minutes)
Wolanin (if we run 7)

3. Offense. Dzingel he played really good, could've scored a couple more with a bit of luck. Hope we can at least resign him and Duchene.
I also really enjoy Balcers, Chlapik and Batherson in the AHL but I would keep them down this season and see where they can fit in next season.

i don't often comment on scheduling but the fact that the Senators had a road game in Tampa Saturday night, had to travel to South Florida (roughly the distance between Ottawa/TO, so not completely insignificant) and then have an early start time is utterly ridiculous.

Ottawa gets a ton of back to backs and $hit scheduling so 'Canada's team' can play every Saturday night at the Gardens at 8pm. This has been irritating since forever.

So what's up with this team? I know it was back-to-back, but it was the same against Buffalo. How can they be so awesome one night and so terrible the next? Is anyone watching closely enough to get it down to one two players of line combos etc?
