OK! Shatty (2M retained) + Vesey for Willie after he's signed a 7 years 7.5M per deal.


P.S. Shatty has been awful/ close to awful...

Depends on how much NYR would be willing to retain. If it meant getting Shatty at 4-4.5 million and then getting a Buchnevich or Kreider as well?

Then you have a replacement for Gardiner at 2 million less plus a decent Nylander replacement.

No thanks to Shatt, If they go the route of a veteran, it's far more sensible to grab a UFA like McQuaid, and get a 1st rounder so they clear cap space to sign the big boys in the summer.
