Thank Dubnyk is correct. Now is Dubnyk that old that he can not play back to back when he is lights out and clearly in the zone. Why start your backup when your starter is on fire? Nothing against Stalock but DD needs to play these games.

I would think there should be some interest in El Nino. He is BB regular in the dog house and a change of scenery would benefit him and the Wild should be able to get a decent forward in exchange. Suter was very good last night and people need to cut him some slack. As long a Parise is healthy and playing like he is I personally should not be so hard on him. I just think long term and his track record of getting injured just scares the daylights out of me. As for Matt Read on the first line I am still in shock and we won last night because of Dubnyk, Dumba and Suter primarily, Read is washed up but BB just loves his older players. Tough game tonite.

All these people talking about the Wild going after Nylander, there's another player in Toronto thats probably more realistic in acquiring, Kasperi Kapanen. May not have as high of a ceiling as Nylander, but the kid is good and fits a need the wild have In a right shot RW who can score. Also, he likely wouldn't cost nearly as much as Nylander

I keep hearing about how Stalock was the difference in the game. Bottom line is he got lucky on more than one occasion. His aggressive style might be good in the AHL, but he's too wreckless with some of his antics and it's going to cost this squad at least one game this season.

MnWild, I think Nylander is more the goal than Kapanen. True, the Wild need the right handed shot, which they both are. But Nylander is the quality C that the Wild need even more. Plus Nylander is a proven commodity whereas Kapanen hasn’t proven anything yet. If a deal can be something like Spurgeon/Niederreiter for Nylander will work, I am all for it.

And Gump, I wouldn’t say that Stalock was the difference in the game. And yes, he was extremely lucky on a few instances…but so has Dubnyk on his nice early run so far this season. IMO, the difference in the game was, again, the Wild seemed to wake up somewhere in the 2nd period of the game and play the game they SHOULD be playing in the 3rd period. I don’t know why they can’t put the same effort they give in the 3rd period for the entire game. I honestly switched over to watching some of the T-Wolves game when they went down 3-1 to TB. I checked back every so often, and when it was 3-2, I stayed on the Wild game again. I expected the Wild to lose to TB, so it made it even more enjoyable to watch.

Now on to Matt Read…yeah, he does NOT belong on the first line. The speed is just not there anymore and he appeared to really shy away for the corners…or at least any contact in the corners. Someone on here suggested playing Nino at RW with Zucker and Staal. I guess they could try that, maybe it would help his confidence. But on the flip side, if you are trying to move El Nino and he can’t score playing 1st line minutes, his stock drops even more than what it has already. So it’s a dangerous slope to play on there. I would play him there right now though, at least until JEE is back.

I would really like to see Greenway on that line with Staal and Zucker. Drop Read down to line 3. Have BB give that line time, which probably wont happen. Hope to see Kunin come up and play with Staal line eventually.

Amen to that! I think Kunin's constant hustle would work well with Staal and Zucker. That would keep the Parise-Koivu (where I want JEEE)-Granlund line together as a decent 2nd scoring line. I think Kunin would be better server playing up in the NHL rather then down in the AHL.

Speaking of the Iowa Wild, so does anyone have decent "scouting reports" on guys like Gerry Fitzgerald and Gerald Mayhew? I'm surprised that after 4 games Sokolov has only registered 6 shots and has 0 goals and 3 assists. Are they asking him to just be a playmaker right now? Glad to see Kloos hasn't been afraid to shoot so far, with a team leading 21 shots in 5 games. Too bad nothing is going in for him yet.

And just checked on the "Cap Central" part of this site, it has JEE listed as "Bought Out"! Did I miss something here?!?
