I have not seen the Corsi numbers although they never mean much anyways but Tyler Myers once again had a pretty flawless game and was the Jets best defender. Like to have Buff back because Kulikov is much better than Morrow.

Morrissey made some good defensive plays but the tandem was not good overall again tonight. Morrissey has definitely passed Trouba in value...at least to date. If Trouba thought he was worth $7MM plus before this season then he better start rethinking that demand. His value has fallen almost every game this year. He now ranks third on my Dman depth chart this year.

There were three or four shifts where it was definitely noticeable that keeping Lemieux over Dano was 100% the correct choice. So much stronger on the boards and with the puck. More speed as well. Gets to the puck so much quicker than Dano did.

Jets just stop skating for all but about two shifts in the third. A game they should have won and yet lost. They will learn from this.

Time to shake up the top line. Put Ehlers on there and move Connor with Roslovic and Laine.

Finally, Arizona and Buffalo will once again be the bottom dwellers of the NHL. Hard to believe otherwise.

Ehler's and Laine better wake up. Their defensive game is brutal right now. Ehler's is lazy in his own zone and Laine can't check. WAKE UP!!!!

I think its more than just one game. They have been pretty bad all year and have been lucky to come away with 2 wins that they should have lost. I know the team is different but its amazing how nothing seems to have been learned from last year with regards to how games need to be played to win. Hate to be this pessimistic this early in the season but the Jets will not be a playoff team.
