Glad the kids are alright. Hopefully there are no mishaps in practice today and we get back on track tomorrow night!

Continue playing defensively as a team like they did on Saturday. Hopefully get Patrick back and get both him and Konecny going offensively and the kids will definitely be alright.

My first post of the season. Thanks Bill for your continued excellence!

Any target date for JVRs return? I missed the first few games and by the time I tuned in JVR was already out...just like old times!

The strong play of Rubtsov and Kase is the most exciting development in the organization so far in this season that has barely started. Particularly Rubtsov, who had a so-so final season in the CHL where he played a lot of wing. But on the Phantoms he's thriving at center.

I would love to know who decided that the right time to push out a puff piece interview of Hak was the day after losing at home in the final two minutes. Maybe wait until the team manages to pick up even a point at the WFC.

Was Hart in net for the 7-0 game?

Never really known as a "singles" band, except in their very earliest days. Still one of my fave all time groups!

Amazing what happens when you put players into the position that they are best suited for. You can say the same with Laughton on the big club now that they've finally figured out that his skill set best fits that of a winger.

Laughton was good last year playing center, but he was saddled with generally crappy wingers.

Definitely dodged a couple bullets there. Hopefully we will see Patrick by the weekend.

Skated this morning with Morin per Dave Isaac. Not that that means he'll be back soon.

Agreed, but I just think he’s even better on the wing.

He's good on the wing, but fortunately, he does have versatility to play center and take face offs.

The play of Scott Laughton has been my favorite early season story so far. Dude has been written off so many times by fans, it seems. Nice to see him enjoy some success.

I'd argue that it isn't just fans

It is nice to see him getting some more responsibility and rewarded for his play. Honestly wouldn't mind seeing him on the 2nd line if they are going to keep JVR with Vorobyev and Simmonds.

Not saying he's as good a G but that flexibility is not something to take lightly on the roster.

I give Oscar about 10 games to get some chemistry going with Patrick and Konecny. If it don't come then yeah try moving Laughts up.
