Hawks mostly look fantastic tonight. Some chances given up but nothing Ward can't handle. A lot of pucks heading towards the Blues net.

Schmaltz lost that draw in the offensive zone and it totally killed the entire first minute of that man advantage. His faceoff ineptitude is getting to be a problem.

I think starting in Rockford with his brother (on his line) was the best spot to begin the season.

For me, I don't hate the way the D is playing. Lots of sticks tied up. There will be some chances when facing a team like the Blues.

Unless something changes radically with him I don't see how they can count on him being the center of the future. He's so over matched at the dot its ridiculous.

That 3rd line really needs a playmaker....AA, Kunitz, Hayden...just don't have the creativity. I hope they bump Kunitz down for someone with skill to create a play, especially after an awesome turnover like what Hayden forced with the nice hit.
