I mean we have Carlo, Gryz and Krug who at their BEST are 2nd pairing guys, I think this team is LOADED with 4th or 5th D-man

We have to clarify something. Yah I really like Krug and he is gifted offensively but he shouldn't' be a 2nd paring defenseman.

Last season he posted 47 points which is great for a defenseman, but he was a +/- 0 which means that defensively he is a bit of a liability.

I think we should keep Krug but use him more strategically. Moore is a much better overall defenseman. Put Krug as the 3rd pairing to limit is 5 on 5 time, no penalty kill and use him as the quarterback for the powerplay. I think if we did that we would be playing to his strengths and getting great offense and not giving up so much defensively. But to say we don't need Moore is not correct.

I kinda feel the same way.
I also like the abilities of Gryz.
Those 2 are elite skaters and make zone entries pretty easily.
Speed and smarts help get them back for coverage as well.
It all looks good to me.

59 points. Somewhat agree with everything else though. Ive been fairly impressed with Moore and hes signed for nothing, its not like they couldnt easily move that contract in a few years if they had to.

Or move Krug at deadline if theres a logjam....

We need a legit top 6 forward addition if we have any hope of beating the caps ,leafs or lightning in the play-offs. Would package Krug in a heartbeat. Grz looks great so far and a lot cheaper.
