Word in the Hockey world is that Panarin wants to play for the Rangers and that's a big reason he isn't signing an extension.
Why would the Rangers, who aren't going to challenge for a cup this year, trade prospects or picks for a player that wants to play for them, and they could probably easily get as a UFA July 1st.
