Well said! Many have dismissed the Habs from the beginning but I have maintained all along that this team is not as bad as people have been making it out to be. I have been impressed with their pre-season play (for what it's worth) and the lines you outlined are capable of producing while being defensively responsible. If Price plays to expectations and we have a decent start to the regular season then a playoff spot (wild card) is not out of the realm of possibility especially with Weber coming back in the second half of the season. GO HABS GO!! |

I agree buddy. I think they might be bit better than ppl expect, but they will have to be able to shut down teams with Bergeron, Stamkos, Barkov, and Matthews. Will be tough for sure, but they have some good players here |

This team needs to draft a D in the top 10 next June more than they need to push for a wild card spot and a guaranteed first round exit |

Wild card spot??? This team will be nowhere near the playoffs. So no worries. Start getting excited for a shot at Jack Hughes. Playoffs are a pipe dream with this collection of crap players |

As far as I've read so far, 2019 is NOT a D draft, specially early on. |

Broberg, Vlasic and even York would all be great additions to the prospect pool |

Brandon Smillie: Canadiens 2018-19 Season Preview + Kotkaniemi Makes The Cut - Brandon Smillie
If the Habs pull a (frank)ing miracle out of a hat and are in contention for a wild card spot, then say hello to continued mediocrity for the next 10 years... Not only will they miss a chance at a likely top 3 pick, because MB will trade away valued assets and picks to get a bunch of 3rd and 4th liners for depth at a playoff run (that will never happen).
This team is poop. The defence is likely the worst in the NHL - and that is with Weber in the lineup. It is going to take 2-3 years to get the prospect forwards in the lineup, and 4-5 years to fix the defence.
Playoffs?
You guys are (frank)ing nuts.
I'd be shocked if this team manages to win more than the 29 games from last year. |
