What's the cap ramifications if Pomminville was sent down slash released? Maybe a good idea to just go young and take your lumps.

he won't...I think Housley and Botterill like what he brings on and off the ice...however they could trade him to a contender at some point...

if they waived him, I believe his cap-hit would still be around $4.6 million

I actually thought Bailey had a decent camp. He looked good at the home Leaf game. His awareness is just bad at times.

Overall good sign for the sabres though

So by my count, that's 14 healthy forwards (including Sheary, not larsson or Malone) and 8 healthy d.

Still 2 more cuts needed right, including a move when Larsson gets back

Edit: forgot Bogo.

I guess we're good til larsson gets back then

the hunwick situation will have some bearing as well, although by the sound of it, his neck injury is pretty serious right now

Assuming Hunwick, Malone, and Hickey to IR, that leaves 3 moves I believe. IF Bogo is healthy, that probably means Pilut and Guhle. Guessing Larsson starts on IR. ERod, Wilson, and Beaulieu in the press box.

Had hoped bailey could make the roster liked his speed, but at this point neither has shown they can score at the nhl level, would be nice if they both made it back to rochester tho.

Yup, useful depth and I still think Bailey can be a good 4th liner.

Good moves by the team. They actually made the right calls (Thompson/Nylander) vs the safe calls. I sure hope when Larsson gets off the IR list that he is waived to Rochester.

Very exciting times - look at the crew of rookies who are starting the season in Buffalo - Mitts, Dahlin, Thompson, Nylander and maybe even Guhle.

Glad to see Girgs played his butt off to make the team. I assume he will be 1 of our 2 F/T penalty killers and in a 4th line role.

I wonder if they tried to make any trades recently

He deserves to be here, I hope it has something to do with him not having to clear waivers vs others, by Dec he will be with the big club for good. Just my opinion

Tough time to make trades though, every team has issues with their numbers,
Hopefully that helps with the waivers the Sabres did today.

I would prefer to keep Baptiste, given that he is projected tob be the better scoring threat.

On the other hand, meh to all three
