Forsling is counted in that 25 too - so for sure Murphy and Forsling go on IR which gets it to 23. Crawford doesn't have to because there is ample Cap space and he's the 23rd guy - so maybe they carry 3 goalies until CC is ready to play and then send Forsling through waivers ... or maybe Ward because they have the Cap space to "bury" Ward in Rockford. - EbonyRaptor
Ok, thanks. |

My wife's dad used to take her to Hawks games when she was a kid and the running old joke was she went to a fight and a hockey game broke out. - EbonyRaptor
I like seeing the fights, but it's not the reason we win or lose. Plenty of stars have been injured while playing aside fighters. |

My computer does it to me when there is a lag in WiFi connection, and I hit the submit button more than I should because I think it wasn't accepted. |

Maybe you found it really funny? The duplicate was a duplicate, also. It's just interwebs echoes. |

It makes the games exciting. Even with teams I wouldn't follow I'd watch every game. And the anticipation something might happen especially with the score out of hand. Now I look at the lineups and no its gonna be a snoozefests even the playoffs. Most teams dont even have a guy who's had 5 fights on a season. Dirk Grahm Jermey Roenick would be the toughest guys on most rosters nowadays. |

Sorry for the tirade but I just get annoyed seeing who was waived and the way the game I love is going. If the gallant brothers were 10 years older they'd be folk heroes. The games would be great of they left it how it was from 09 to around 13. |

Disgusting seeing what the nhl has become. Most teams only have maybe two guys that could fight on there rosters. A lot of toughness on waivers.
Hey Stan Kurtis Macdermaid got waived he's a cheap stay at home dman. Would be ideal no 7 and send joki to the ahl. - vandymeer23
I agree! It's terrible how fast and skilled and soft the NHL has become. I liked it much better when the Hawks could beat up players on other teams and had no chance to win. I really hated seeing the Hawks win cups when they didn't deserve them because they played the game in such a passive soft manner. What really made my blood boil was seeing the Hawks employ a skilled fast fourth line from 2012 to 2015 that made the tough fourth lines of their oppents obsolete and prevented them from getting ice time. I'm with you, bring back the fighters, bring back huge guys who can't play the game and ban anyone under 6 feet tall from playing. And while we're at it lets draw up a petition to give back the 2013 and 2015 cups to the teams that truly deserved the championship, the teams that employed fighters and who hit.

You’ll be encouraged that Tom Wilson is at it again: getting an in-person interview (meaning 6 games put, I think) for destroying Oscar Sundqvist of the Blues.
Direct hit to the head, from what I can see.
In a (frank)ing exhibition game. |

What a sloppy nuts, I hate that guy. I hate the blues, but no one deserves that. These suspensions need to be bigger or something because pukes like him will just continue being pukes. |

I like a good fight too as long as they are spontaneous and not the clown show fights from a few years ago where the palooka from each team would agree to drop em after a faceoff. Those I never did like. Actually I don't miss the fighting because I like the speed and skill in the game today better than the fighting of yesteryear. If it's in the heat of the moment and two guys go at it - cool, but I don't really think it adds anything to the game.

Why don’t you just watch the UFC ? All the fighting you could ever ask for. |

Things have a way coming back in time i think it will that is fighting just a cycle. Only thing i will say no staged fights or the prototypical goon the player would have to be a contributor on the ice not just a fighter and 5 minutes a game. Yea miss the fights probert vs domi they were fun to watch. |

Well said. I've long wanted to give back those last two Cups. The Hawks had no team toughness...just a bunch of pirhouetting ballerinas who could practically score at will. It redefined the term winning ugly. Truly disgusting! |
