you know, Boston was healthy scratching Holden in the playoffs last year.

he's a 6/7 defenseman at this point at best

The Vegas-roster is full of players categorized "not that important" by their former teams...

I dont think the Penguins thought of Fleury that way, the rules were designed that they could only protect one goalie.

The sad truth is that Fleury was bundled with a 2020 2nd to make sure he (and his contract) is taken, not that the 2nd was used to make sure no goalie of us was taken.

Regarding defensemen, you could protect either 3 or 4 of them, so basically everyone on the Vegas-roster is a 4th/5th defenseman (="not that important")... and they still won the Pacific and Western Conference.

I know his role wasn't large in Boston; I was referring to his time in Colorado/New York.

On a deep team, he's a bottom-pairing guy. I think he's more 4-6 though, can play up in a pinch type.

Awesome game last night to watch. Team just kept doing what they do best, sticking to their system, same as last year, even with the prospects in there. Very impressed with how they are so dedicated to it. Even the announcers kept going back to it, commenting on how the team played the game.
