Seems like this style could keep young d men from getting in lineup. Possibly Lindgren could make team out of camp. If Smith has anything left his style could be more a fit. Ditto McQ...

We shall see. But I would hope, based on his prior quotes, that every gets a clean slate and the player that plays best earns the spot. We will know better in about two weeks.

Think we all expected this to be the case. Would be great if the two sides started dialogue now. Escrow and Olympics, as mentioned, first more of a concern than the second. Lockout protection signing bonuses etc. will also be on the table.

Be nice finally to see some team toughness. Will be interesting if Quinn sticks to his guns and benches guys who aren't putting in the work.

If thats your idea of team toughness.

My idea is everyone sticks together, doesn't matter if you are a skill player or not. Someone takes a shot at a guy on your team, all 5 guys on the ice respond. It also means if you can lay the body on someone do it. Don't run around like an idiot and just try to hit people but if the hit is there, take it. Basically the team should watch old tapes of how Graves played in his prime and emulate it.

I know, was just giving my opinion of what I hope Quinn is talking about. Be refreshing to see the team play as a team, and not have four players skate back to the bench after one of their teammates gets drilled head first into the boards. That Nashville game still has me pissed.

I hope so. Not that I want to see Zib hurt, but if I'm choosing on keeping Hayes or Zib, its definitely Hayes.
