Peluso like Lucic days are over in the NHL. Lucic has more talent than Puluso but his lack of speed is evident and his tough guy image will only hurt the Oilers as most teams players will not get suckered into a fight with him. He will be effective jumping players from behind who hits any Oiler legally or not. Both teams better have good penalty killers with those two on their rosters.

Maybe...Oilers don’t get pushed around like they used to. Coincidence?

Last I look Todd, there is still dirty chippy stick work in the league that NHL & it's officiating have failed to get a grip on. So what if Peluso is a 13th or 14 th forward getting press box time & inserted when needed & we see the likes of Hathaway or Lazar getting waived & playing minutes in Stockton. Doubt either Lazar or Hathaway would get picked off of waivers. Oilers have to play Lucic, for what Peluso is signed for, we can afford to sit him for several games eating popcorn.

Agree with your take on PACs trade. Unbelievable asset management by Mcphee. Hope he gives a boatload of assets for a 1 year rental of E Karlsson too. Yup, they would have a top 3 team next year, but an empty shell the next.

Another brutal trade by McPhee. He deserves to be front and centre of any conversation about worst GM in the league.

Peluso never could play in this league.

Peluso is useless. Find someone that can actually play hockey that can fight. Guys aren't going to fight Peluso unless he does something really stupid. Just not worth it from an oppositions standpoint. Him being off for 5 minutes actually helps the Flames

I so wish guys like Peluso were still around instead of these low intensity dull fests nowadays.

They seem to have been winning next to all of their games against the Flames the past few seasons. Coincidence? Or not really that big of an accomplishment given the competition?

Play Rychel in that position then. Hathaway and Lazar aren't looking to show any more untapped potential - I believe they're fringe NHLers at best. I'd take any of those 3 plus a handful of other UFAs/Heat depth players before Peluso.

I still think Vegas will be a good team. I think they win the Pacific.

Pretty sure he is still in denial, spends as much time looking at mens handbags as he does on hockeybuzz.

But there is nothing wrong with that.

Actually, Rychel is a big boy, if he can find that edge & level of game, would love to see him in there.

If they continue their home-strength, they will be a tough nut... this is especially an area the Flames have to improve, being way below .500 in '17-18.
