Yup, one outing that's all he gets....

Everyone has a bad day. Let's let him actually get settled and coached before we send him to the guillotine shall we?

No just to Rockford to back up Delia. Going to be a project.

The Baby Hawks didn't win many board battles or stick on stick battles - so from that standpoint they're ready to play for the Hawks

But, I was hoping to see Sikura-Kahun-Fortin play well as a line and play well individually and that is what I saw. Very pleased with their play. Next, I wanted to see the top-4 d-men play well and for the most part I thought they played pretty well - they all showed there is something there worthy to be 1st round picks destined to play for the Hawks someday.

The only real negative takeaway I have, other than the goalie, was Ejdsell - I thought he was terrible at handling the puck. Reminded me of Toews the last couple season where the puck seem to get caught up in his skates or bounce off his stick. Hopefully he was just rusty because if that is the real him - not good.

Two guys who caught my eye a few times were Knott and Entwistle, looking forward to seeing more of them.

Three more games to go - lots more opinions to form and change.

It sure was nice to watch hockey - yeah buddy.

Schmaltz is a C.

He views himself as such and so do the Hawks.

To be honest, the Hawks need him to be a centre NOW and for the future or they could be in big(ger) trouble down the middle than originally anticipated.

Yes your right. Like the lines you ran out there .Would like to see them give Forsberg the starting job ,putting Ward in the same situation he was with Darling . All that mute if Crow returns . Nice to here some positive reports on the young players .. Getting really ready for the season to start .. GO HAWKS ...!!!!!

Who made the breakout pass to Fortin that ended up in the penalty shot? I couldn't see who made the nice pass and there's not replay.

Scott...I don't know why people even bother.

"Q" never sticks to lines. Whatever he starts with will be mixed in the blender before the 6 minute mark of period one of game one....

Maybe guessing Top 6 ish, and bottom 6 ish is a better exercise, but even then.....

Disclaimer: yeah, it's only 1 game and it's a prospect tournament ... but I really liked what I saw from Kahun today playing center between Sikura and Fortin. I don't have a scoresheet to verify but it looked like he won most of the faceoffs he took - possibly by about a 201 margin. He's quick, got good vision and appeared to play defense pretty well - so I'm putting him at 3C and moving AA to wing. I'm also taking Q at his word that he wants to "try" Saad with Schmaltz and Kane.

DeBrincat-Toews-Hayden
Saad-Schmaltz-Kane
Sikura-Kahun-Anisimov

I like it i would flip AA and sikura and don't think johnson makes the team out of camp but might get called up later in the season.

Top 6 locks,
Middle 6 (floats between top/bottom)
Bottom 6 locks
and "in/out of the doghouse"
Should be the four categories

Yes but still disappointing they haven't been able to uncover the next group of generational talents to step in for 2, 19, 88 and 81 picking end of the first and sometimes second round in the draft. You'd have thought they'd at least be able to have found the next Gretzky or Lemieux by now...
