Wouldn’t it be a funny thing if this was why Vegas was so good last year.

If it is true that there was a microscopic tainting that could not possibly affect performance in any meaningful way, than 20 games is too much. But, who knows the half-life on those substances and when he took it? That's the real mystery, and PED's are banned regardless the quantity. Unfortunate.

I can't believe last season and the magical run to the cup finals was all a lie because of this cheater. Without that one billionth of a percent of PED's in his system, he would be lucky to crack an ECHL roster.

I guess that's why Vegas has been hot for Karlsson. Has there been a date that is confirmed when the organisation knew he failed a test?

Theres a reason his doctors took hair from him, this is how you test to see how long he has been taking it because you cant cheat that test. His hair was free of any history of the drug he took. None of this makes sense.

What's the point of talking about something unless you know what you're talking about?
Why isn't anyone - the NHL, the team, the player, "reliable sources", anyone - able or willing to say what the substance actually was?

The list of "chemicals" (notice I didn't use the word "drugs") proscribed by the World Anti Doping Agency (WADA) is here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/...t_of_drugs_banned_by_WADA

(Edit: I retrieved this url on my desktop. However, when I tried to access the exact same url on my ipad, it said the url didn't exist so my apologies if it doesn't work for you.)

Frankly, I cannot imagine how any normal person, leading a normal, everyday life, could be certain the food (takeout or otherwise) , detergents (washing dishes), gasoline additives, (pumping gas), copier paper, clothing, swimming (in a pool or river - all are polluted to some degree) and all the things we regularly come in contact with in our daily lives could not leave a miniscule residue of 1 billionth of a milligram of one or more of these chemicals in our bodies.
Take a minute and read the list of literally hundreds of chemicals. It's mind boggling.
I suspect if we (who aren't purposely scrupulous in our lives) were to be tested, we'd all fail.

They are paid & helped & advised, to make sure they don't fail drug tests. They live differently to everyday people - that's why we don't get drug tested & have results that will critically impact our future. It's not that hard to understand. There would have been a B test that followed up after the initial positive, Nate would have appealed & brought to the attention all these possibilities. He was still found guilty. So it appears that all these marvellous possibilities of him coming into contact with this unknown drug - it's a drug that isn't recreational according to the bargaining agreement, he was still not able to prove innocence.
