You can argue Galchenyuk's usage/developement was a mess.
But claiming he was "never given a chance" is just plain false.
I think he'll do great in Arizona though. |

Hopefully Max Domi does well in Montreal too. Gallagher/Domi would be good linemates for Crosby.
Galchenyuk will have better linemates on the Top line now. |

Pascal (frank)ing Dupuis was a good linemate for Crosby. Fine player and all, but really, anyone semi-decent player is a good linemate for the guy. |

What I'm trying to say is hard working guys with decent hands do well with Sid. Not every "all skill guy" does well with #87. |

The Flames also added James Neal, and Mr. DuranDuran is very excited about that! |

Rowney really sucks. Gibbons is a midget with good hockey IQ. |

Totally agree, i think Gallagher would be one of the best compliments to Crosby in the league. Also, JG does a pretty damn good job of it too. I also think think he benifits from a more loose character, kind of the funny guy, i think it helps Sid stay out of his own head, but that is more of my speculation. |

To do this excluding rookies is kind of lazy imo.

What exactly would you expect the Nux to do at this point in their build up to the playoffs?
They got a guy in Louie Eriksson one off season, who hasn't lived up to his skill level, so why would they go out and add another guy who might be the same way instead of just building from within?
The only guy they could add that would be great is EK if signed long term and they didn't give up any of the top tier talent coming up like Boeser, Peterson, Demko, Hughes, or established guy like Horvat... |

San Jose acquired Hoffman remember. He was truly great for the sharks, his 10 minutes in the organization was simply magnificent. |

It's all luck when a new player plays with a new team.
Doesn't matter how talented said player is, he can still bust. For many reasons he can be a misfit that just can't settle into the new teams structure & tempo.
Same as bad players playing well in new teams.
Hockey, is all luck! L.U.C.K.
The above is all a possibility & not a garauntee of any sort for all players & teams. The legal responsibilities of the comment are clearly dispossessed of any liability after reading this statement. |

Well, that's actually been debated at length in here & I believe the mojority may say that only certain types of players are actually good linemates for Sid.

Disagree. Rookies have no baseline of previous seasons to establish actual NHL value, they only have potential value. Every team has a rookie who might end up being good, and guessing which ones will is an entirely different topic. |

My exact thought. I might leave the buzz for a week, nothing to draw me in at the moment. I say that but I'll end up reading the next one anyway. |

Somewhere i know this tactical approach (and -failure)...
At least the last (Metro) will be very exciting for us, because we added Dad -the missing piece- back to our winning-roster... but will he be mentioned, or will it be 5yr-JJ instead, or Jimmy Hayes or even Grant Derek, or..., ... stay tuned! |

I was pretty surprised they dealt him for that reason. I gave hoffman the benefit of the doubt with his off-ice troubles but perhaps it's as bad as it sounds. |

Honestly the best addition to me was not dealing Letang. If we had traded him, I don't see any realistic deals where JR gets equal return. |

Tanger will be well recovered and his old* this year (*yes, he is also a little injury-prone), do you think they realistically wanted to deal him or was the rumor-buzz just one him this off-season because noone believed Malkin2Chicago"BeingTheMan" any longer?

Well, certain players (Hossa being the best, Guerin a good one, Guentzel being another) will have more success than others. But you could basically stick any decent player with him and they'll both have success. |
